Weekly Edit #8

Weekly Edit
#1 What do you guys think of my crocheting painting? This is the projects I've been working. I have another more detailed crochetanting that I will reveal next week I'm still working on the finishing touches. I am so excited for you guys to see my next painting because it's inspired by one of my favorite movies

Ever since I made my first crocheting painting I knew I wanted to make more. This unicorn latte is the size of a stretched out palm so it's small but cute. I want to make more complex designs but I don't want to make more without anyone interested in buying them.

#2 I finally snatched up a Nintendo Switch! Ahhhh! I'm so excited for it to arrive! It's scheduled to come next Friday so you know what I will be doing next weekend!

#3 I also started driving again this week (fun fact: I don't have a driver's license). I started practicing driving at the age of 16 but had many nightmares about me uncontrollably driving and crashing that I stopped practicing and never got my license. I am now 24 and I finally think it's time for me to get my license so I can drive myself anywhere at whatever time I want. I am so tired of waiting on others to drive me to go grocery shopping or on coffee runs.

#4 Summer is slowing fading away which means Autumn is coming! Let me know what type of posts you guys would like to see in Fall. I'm not that into Fall beauty so if you have any ideas for other types of posts I could publish next season let me know because so far I don't have any seasonal posts planned.

#5 I found this blog called Simple Vegan Blog. It has many easy vegan recipes. Some recipes I would like to try are the caramel frappuccino, burrito bowl, easy acai bowl, and Singapore noodles.

#6 I want my blog to be an environment where you can escape your daily troubles and not think about negativity. However, I am someone who watches the news every day so I am familiar with world events. The news lately has just been so devastating to watch. I live in a small town in Georgia so I know those types of people exist (I went to school with people like that) but to see a crowd of people like that marching around the streets and spreading hate it just sickening. All we can do is think positive and hope for the best.

#7 What exciting thing happened to you this week? For me, it was finally buying a Nintendo Switch!

My Makeup Routine ♥ Summer 2017

My Makeup Summer Routine
An updated makeup routine has been long overdue! Thar;s why today I am sharing my current summer makeup routine. These are the products that I've been using in summer the most to create my daily appearance.

My Makeup Summer Routine
After I've finished my morning skincare routine I follow up with the Etude House Tone-Up Mint Primer and apply all over my face. This primer helps cover up redness and even out my skin tone, just make sure not to apply too much. Next, I apply the Peripera Perikiki Collection Ink Lasting Mint Cushion with the puff. This cushion has a mint toning blurring effect that also helps with redness but it isn't as noticeable as the primer. To cover up my under eye circles I apply The Saem Cover Perfection Ideal Concealer Duo, the tip side. For spots and blemishes, I use The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer. To blend the concealer together I use the Missha Water In Sponge to blend.

My Makeup Summer Routine
Two new steps that I've added to my routine this summer have been blush and highlight. I've never been a huge fan of either but lately, I've been loving how these two make my face look. I lightly apply the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Paaarty Blush with a blush crush just enough to give my face a little bit of warmth. With a fan brush, I apply the Colourpop Monster Super Shock Highlighter on my nose, sides and above my cupids bow. This highlight is a pink and opalescent duo chrome that luminous finish on your face.

My Makeup Summer Routine
My Makeup Summer Routine
On onto my eyes, I use the Wet N Wild Eyeshadow Primer to prime my lids to help the shadows stick better. Next, I fill in my eyebrows with the Etude House Drawing Eye Brow. I love this eyebrow pencil because it's buildable and you can control it really well. The palette I've been reaching the most is the NYX Happy Birthday Palette as my go-to eyeshadow palette. I usually blend two colors together on the lid and bring one of the shadows on the outer lower end and blend out. If I choose to wear eyeliner that day I will use the Tony Moly Back Gel Eyeliner, my favorite!

My Makeup Summer Routine
To give my eyes a little shimmer I apply the Etude House Tear Drop Liner on my lower lash line. This is also a simple way to get that aegyo-sal look. Since I don't use regular eye curlers because they rip off my eyelashes I use the Huluwa Heated Eyelash Curler to curl my lashes. Finally, to finish the eyes I use the Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara. This is my absolute favorite mascara because of the lasting formula and easy to control mascara wand.

My Makeup Summer Routine
Now to the final part, the lips! These have been my top 3 lip colors of summer. I use the Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint in Birthday Suit when I want a neutral lip color with a rosy tint. When I want a summer appropriate pop of color I will either use the Peripera Airy Ink Velvet in Pretty Orange Pink or Etude House Berry Delicious Liquid Lips Juicy in PK013. All of these lip products are perfect for summer because they stay on for a long time and the color doesn't fade away quickly.

Crochet Pieces I Never Finished ♥ Failed Crochet Projects

Failed Crochet Projects
I love to crochet on my spare time and even have an Etsy shop where I sell some of my crochet work. When I'm not making items for my shop I enjoy crocheting other projects for myself like home decor.

I thought it could be fun for you guys to get a glimpse at my unfinished crochet projects that I never completed and why I stopped working on them. These are just a couple pieces because I have other boxes somewhere filled with more yarn madness but today I'm only going to show you what I think were the most interesting.

Failed Crochet Projects
The first thing that probably draws your eyes is the alpaca shaped thing. I think I originally wanted to make a sleep mask out of this but for some reason, I never finished it. I think because I wanted to make it into something else. The piece underneath is the front of a failed concha (a type of Mexican pastry) fanny pack. I wanted to make this for my older sister because she had requested a fanny pack for work. I wanted to surprise her with it for Christmas or on her birthday years ago but never got around to finishing it. I'm glad I never finish it and gave it to her because it doesn't even look like a concha! lol

On the right, there are some sleep masks I never finished. I was trying a different style of sleep mask on the blue mask I probably wasn't feeling it though and stopped (but why did I proceed to make the other half?). All the way on the bottom is two bunny shaped pieces. These were originally going to be sewn together and made into a brooch, pin or hair clip.

Failed Crochet Projects
Starting with the left side, there is a cream colored cotton coaster. I wanted to make a cute coaster for my room and this was supposed to be the base but when I finished it didn't come out the way I wanted it to so I just scraped the idea and threw this into my crochet bin. On top is a mini green cactus. This was going to be for a crochet pattern which I may still post one day. Next to the cactus is a non-completed turtle. This was going to be for a bakery series but I didn't think they looked with bread pastries so I never continued with that series.

That cone shaped piece on the right is a crepe cone. At the time I like how it came out but now I know I can make a better one. This was going to be for my bakery/pastry collection that I never released. On the bottom, is a deep orange autumn leaf. I know it looks finished but it was going to be a garland so technically it's unfinished. Maybe I will get motivated to finish it this autumn.

Failed Crochet Projects
I made this because I wanted to try out a different crochet technique (can't remember the name of it tho). I think I wanted to turn this into a pillow or something because there is a wide opening waiting to be stuffed. I wish I would've used pastel or ombre colors instead. I guess I can always stuff it and give it to Lucy so she can play with it.

Failed Crochet Projects
Failed Crochet Projects
The biggest project that I never finished was this huge tapestry thing. I was inspired by an Instagram account that makes tapestries out of yarn. They are crazy expensive so I attempted to make my own.  Looking back on it now I wish I would've planned this project out better by drawing it on paper (like I do with most projects) because my biggest problem with this was not knowing what I wanted it to look like. If I were to make this again I would use a thicker yarn and/or different stitch to make a sturdy base.

Failed Crochet Projects
Fun Fact: This was one of my first crochet plushies I ever made! When I first started crocheting I only knew how to crochet with back loop only. There weren't too many crochet videos out at the time showing me how to properly crochet either but I eventually learned how to properly crochet on my own. You can tell how much my crochet has improved compared to the other pieces.

Weekly Edit #7

Weekly Edit
#1 Have you guys heard about The Pixar theory? It connects all the Pixar movies together. If you are bored over the weekend read the theory because it's so fascinating! I don't think I will watch a Pixar movie the same.

#2 I've been obsessed with the Sheroic Podcast. It's by Casey Ho, CEO of Blogitlates and Lisa Bilyeu, co-founder of Quest Nutrition. They talk about everything from working out to starting your own business. I found episode 9 on entrepreneurship really interesting because I've been trying to start my own shop many times. The ladies share so much useful information for anybody trying to start their own business. I highly recommend this podcast!

#3 I saw that they were showing Gravity Falls so I decided to watch one episode and then proceeded to watch a few more episodes. It's so a cute show! I love Mable and her adorable sweaters! I plan on binge watching the series (since there are only 2 seasons) over the weekend.

#4 We are only on the second week of August but so many amazing K-pop comebacks have already happened! I was going to post my summer K-pop playlist last month but I am so glad I didn't because I would've missed all of these amazing summer jams. Here are just a few of my favorites.

Girls' Generation - All Night
WINNER - Island
Gfriend - Love Whisper
JJ Project - Coming Home
Wanna One - Energetic
Jessica - Summer Storm

#5 I finally started working out again after 4 weeks! I feel so guilty whenever I don't exercise so you can imagine how I felt for the past couple of weeks but I'm so glad to finally be back on the band wagon.

#6 I recently started watching High Carb Hannah videos and I'm hooked! I love how easy her recipes are and she doesn't add any weird expensive vegan ingredients either. Plus, she lives in a tiny house!

#7 This week I started making a project that's been sitting in my crochet journal. Those are some of the yarn colors that will be incorporated into the project. I can't wait to show you guys the finished result!

Sprinkled Pug Haul ♥ Summer 2017

Sprinkled Pug Haul
Ever since I discovered Sprinkle Pug I haven't bought from any other sticker shop. I've ordered from Sprinkled Pug various times and continue to buy because the illustrations are adorable! I buy the mini sticker sheets because they fit in my Mini Happy Planner perfectly and since the stickers are small I can write more in my planner. Recently I placed a pretty big order so I wanted to share some cute stickers.

Liz sells mini sticker sheets every week for $1 ($1 shipping to US and Canada or $1.50 to other countries) so if you are interested in buying some sheets check out her Instagram. She's currently selling some Halloween stickers!

Sprinkled Pug Haul
Can we talk about this note set? It's extremely cute! It's apparently from the Target Dollar Section. I will definitely be searching for this set next time I am at Target!

Sprinkled Pug Haul
Pug in Hats, Laundry Line Banners, Pastel Stars, Pastel Quotes and Water Trackers (I bought 3 of these because I like to keep track of my water).

Sprinkled Pug Haul
Kawaii GirlsPastel Hearts, Kuchi Kpoi, Kawaii Plants, and Pastel Coffee.

Sprinkled Pug Haul
I love how Liz always leaves thank you notes with every order, she's so sweet! Even though I've ordered from her shop multiple times and she always includes the free sample which I always end up using.

Beauty Favorites ♥ July 2017

July 2017 Beauty Favorites
Can't believe it's already August! I honestly can't wait for autumn and cooler weather. Just one more month! Anyways, it's time for another round of my monthly beauty favorites. This time I have a lot of new beauty goodies to share with you guys. Let's start!

July 2017 Beauty Favorites
Mizon Joyful Time Essence Mask
These are my new favorite sheet masks! They are by Misson and come in a variety of scents/flavors. The sheets fit my face perfectly and the essence of the masks are high quality. If you are looking for some new sheet mask to try out I would highly recommend these.

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum
I've heard so much about this serum but the full-size is so expensive (around $100) but when I saw that they had a travel-friendly size of this serum I bought immediately! It's definitely changed the appearance of my skin, clearer, even skin tone and soft skin! The bottle may look small but I am on week 4 of using this serum (I used 2 pumps every morning and night) and it still has product inside!

Freeman Anti-Stress Dead Sea Minerals Clay Mask
If you aren't into sheet masks or prefer clay masks instead then let me introduced to you the Freeman Anti-Stress Dead Sea Mineral Clay Mask. I adore this mask! It smells amazing, the color of the mask is beautiful, soothing and it puts you at ease when you have this on. Perfect for those days when you just want to relax!

July 2017 Beauty Favorites
NYX Happy Birthday Palette
This was my free birthday gift from Ulta, an eyeshadow palette from NYX. The palette comes with 10 neutral shadows (which you can see here) that are easy to blend and perfect for everyday wear.

Missha Water In Sponge
I've been searching for a beauty sponge for a long time (I refuse to buy the beauty blender because $20 for a sponge is ridiculous!). I've tried the Real Techniques sponge multiple time but it rips too easily. However, I finally found the sponge that replaces the Beauty Blender, the Missha Water In Sponge! It made from the same material as the BB (I cleaned my younger sisters BB sponge and they're literally the same!) but the angled shape of this sponge makes application simpler.

The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer
My new favorite concealer! I bought this to cover up small blemishes but I decided to use it my under eyes and it covered them beautifully. It's so small though so there isn't much product inside, it's affordable though so I don't mind.

July 2017 Beauty Favorites
E.L.F. Expert Liquid Liner
I picked up this eyeliner because I needed an eyeliner for my summer trips. It was only $2 and I've tried it in the past so I bought it again. When I first started using I hate how wet it was but the more I used it the more I learned how to properly use it, that' my best advice.

Peripera Airy Ink Velvet - #2 Pretty Orange Pink
Peripera is known for their amazing lip tints so I never hesitate to buy any lip products from them. The Airy Ink Velvets are so comfortable on the lips and the color is gorgeous! My only complaint is how easily the color comes off. I am so used to lip tints staining my lips after but this one didn't.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush - Paaarty
Was never a big fan of blush before but recently I've been getting really into them. I received this Tarte blush in my Sephora birthday set. One day I applied it and fell in love with the warm glow I got from this blush.

Splatoon 2, Habaek, & Body Confidence ♥ Weekly Edit

Weekly Edit
#1 I fixed the pages on my blog. Go check them out if you haven't I still need to edit my About section but I will tweak that later.

#2 I finally bought Splatoon 2! I don't own a Nintendo Switch yet but with an Amazon Prime, you get deals on video games so I saved some money on the game by buying it early. If you are someone who actively plays video games you know that they are expensive! At least when I finally find a Switch I will have the game ready to play. lol

#3 Speaking of Splatoon 2, I'm so proud of myself for not watching any gameplay videos of Splatoon 2. I am someone who enjoys watching videos of games on Youtube before I buy them but not with this game! I want to be completely surprised when I finally end up playing, no spoilers!

#4 All the kids returned back to school where I live this week! I'm so glad! I hate it when I'm working and there is just a bunch of kids are around hanging in the store messing everything up. Thank goodness for school!

#5 I am currently watching The Bride of The Water God (Habaek) and OMG I love this drama! Nam Joo Hyuk acting in this drama is amazing! Anybody else watching?

#6 Love this post by Kayleigh Zara. She talks about how she's not confident in her body. Nowadays everybody is talking about self-love and body confidence but it's not easy to just love your body if you've been trying for years! I love it when people are so real and say they're not happy because I can relate and feel less lonely.

#7 It's now been a week since returning from my summer trip but it feels like I've been back for a month!

August 2017 Goals ♥ Blog & Lifestyle

August 2017 Goals
Now that all of my summer vacations are over it's time to focus on my goals again. August is always a little bit weird because it's that period between summer and autumn, pre-autumn. I honestly can't wait for autumn to arrive but I don't think I will start talking about my autumn goals until September. As for now, let's get through August first.

Blog
Comment on blogs, Twitter, and Instagram
I've been very distance lately, for a couple months to be exact. I haven't done my job as a blogger and communicated with that many people. That's why I want to try to comment and connect with people online. Right now I only chat with a couple bloggers but I would like that to change.

Start making DIY projects
Like I mentioned in my previous weekly edit I want to post more DIYs and recipes. I have a list filled with projects I want to publish on here now I just need to make them happen!

Lifestyle
Buy a Nintendo Switch
My birthday was last month but I still haven't bought my birthday gift to myself, a Nintendo Switch. It's funny how this console has been out for almost a year and they still sell out asap. I'm at the point where I'm stocking websites just so I can know when the next shipments are.

Have a closet cleanse
Last month when I was packing of Mexico I noticed how much clothes I have in my closet. It's the point where I can barely fit any new purchases into my wardrobe! That's why I need to have a closet cleanse and get rid of anything that I haven't worn in months or doesn't suit my style anymore. Good quality clothing will be posted on my Depop.

DIY for myself
This goes along with my second goal but instead of making projects for my blog I want to DIY for myself. I have tons of DIYs saved in my Pinterest board but have yet to make any of them because I never set time aside to actually do them myself.

Kbeauty Haul ♥ Summer 2017

Kbeauty Haul
Every year before I go on summer vacation I stock up on makeup products and buy some new makeup that I can use while on holiday. This time I decided to buy some new Korean cosmetics because a lot of the new summer collaborations were out which means cute packaging! I ordered from multiple different stores such as Tester Korea, Ebay, and Amazon. I had a problem ordering off of Tester Korea which I will address in the post. If you are interested continue reading.

Kbeauty Haul
I placed an order off of Tester Korea because it was the only site at the time that was selling the Peripera Perikiki collection for an affordable price.

I placed my order June 19 because I wanted my order to arrive before I left on Mexico. However, it didn't arrive in time (it actually arrived the day after I left!). It took over a week for my order to ship because one of the items that I ordered was sold out but it wasn't until I emailed them that they responded! Who knows if they would have ever contacted me if I didn't message them first. Also, when my package arrived the Peripera Sun Cushion that I ordered didn't come in the special Perikiki packaging that I had ordered. Again, they didn't email me saying that it was sold out so I had to message them again! Thankfully, they did refund me my item but it was only in Tester Korea points, which I don't mind because I know I can use those points on my next order. Another thing that I found odd with this order is that I didn't receive any samples.

I've ordered from Tester Korea multiple times before and have never had any problems with any order. The shipping is also always reasonable and arrives in a couple weeks. However, this order was just a wreck.

Kbeauty Haul
Etude House My Beauty Tool Air Puffs
I'm someone who washes my cushion puffs very often but you can only clean your puffs enough before they get gross. I bought these puffs because I needed them and the designs on the front looked cute.

Peripera No Sebum Milk Sun Cushion
I have always wanted to try a sun cushion. It's basically a cushion that dispenses out sunscreen instead of foundation. This will come in handy when you want to reapply sunscreen without using your hands.

This was the cushion that they sent the wrong version of. It sucks that I couldn't get the Perikiki version of this cushion because the design is super cute but I will end up using it.

Peripera Perikiki Ink Lasting Mint Cushion
Can we just talk about the packaging of this cushion, it's incredibly cute! When I saw the Peripera Perikiki cushions online and fell in love with the designs of the cushion that I had to order some (of course I didn't get the sun cushion...). I also wanted to try a new cushion so it worked out on both ends. This cushion has mint tone blurring effect that balances out the redness in the skin. They also have a cushion with pink tone whitening effect for those with dull skin.

Kbeauty Haul
Etude House Tear Drop Eye Liner - #3 Pure Sparkling Pearl
Glitter liners are my favorite! I like to apply them in the inner corner and middle of my under eyes for that aegyo-sal look. The Etude House Tear Drop Eye Liner is my favorite liner to get this style. This time I decided to get another color because they have several different shades that I want to try.

The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer
I wanted a new concealer to cover up blemishes so I bought this one by The Saem. I've tried this concealer before a couple years ago but don't remember if I loved it or not so I decided to buy it again.

Tony Moly OiOi Back Gel Eye Liner
This is my favorite eye liner so when I saw that they had a special summer packaging I didn't hesitate to buy it.

Kbeauty Haul
Peripera Perikiki Airy Ink Velvet - Neon Pink
I've heard many positive reviews on the Peripera Airy Ink Velvets saying that the formula is amazing so I decided to check them out. Neon pink wasn't the color that I wanted to try but after testing it a couple times on lips the color has grown on me.

Peripera Airy Ink Velvet - Pretty Orange Pink
This was the color I originally wanted but when I found out that they didn't have it in stock I decided to order it off of Amazon again because it was eligible for Prime shipping. This color is gorgeous and great for everyday wear. Let me know if you guys would like to see a review on the Airy Ink Velvets.

Kbeauty Haul
The Perikiki version of the Airy Ink Velvet comes with a mystery figure that you can place on top of the bottle! Such a cute idea!
