Weekly Edit #20

Weekly Edit
#1 On Tuesday our wifi magically disappeared and we couldn't use the internet or watch television. Which is why I didn't post anything this week. We finally got it fixed yesterday but I have so much to catch up on. This is going to be a busy weekend.

#2 One thing you may not know about me is that I cannot stand the dark and quiet so I had a very difficult time sleeping this week because I wasn't able to have my television on whilst I slept. Now my sleeping schedule is all messed it. :(

#3 Have you seen Red Velvet's new music video yet? It's amazing! I love the creepy vibe! I haven't listened to Perfect Velvet yet but I plan to later today! Anyone else Red Velvet fan?

#4 Thanksgiving is soon! This post on pumpkin pie was really interesting to read. Every year I make 2-3 dishes, Tofurkey and some sort of dessert. I think I'm going to try to make a vegan pumpkin pie this year but it was so interesting to read about different type of pumpkin pie recipes.

#5 I'm currently working on a bunch of crochet patterns for Blogmas. I'm so excited for you guys to see my finished projects! Don't worry if you don't know how to crochet because I will be posting some non-crochet projects as well.

#6 Who else is excited to see BTS perform at the American Music Awards this Sunday?

#7 My laptop is acting up. It's going so slow and freezes every few minutes. I'm going to try to clean it up this weekend. If anybody has any tips that can help my laptop run faster I would really appreciate it.

Little Miss Paintbrush ♥ Sticker Haul

Little Miss Paintbrush Sticker Haul
Today I have a sticker haul from one of my favorite artists, Chichi! I've been following her since I found out she's the one who creates's the adorable illustrations for Japan Lover Me. I've been eyeing Chichi's Little Miss Paintbrush stickers for a long time but finally decided to place an order when she released her first zine. I'm a sucker for zines! Her shop has tons of stickers and prints available but I just bought the zine and a few sticker packets. If you want to place an order send a message on the Whimsicute Instagram aka Chichi's shop.

My order took 2 weeks to arrive (I live in the US and the shop ships from the Philippines). My order came a handwritten thank you note and lots of extra stickers! So sweet! The zine is called, 'Mumu Month'. Mumu means ghost in Filipino so it's 'ghost month'. The zine is 24 pages also came with a coloring page and pastel ghost stickers.

If you read my October favorites then you already that I used some of these stickers to decorate my bullet journal. I got sticker pack 1,2,3 and 6. The designs are so cute it was so difficult to choose a couple packs. On my next order, I will definitely be picking up more stickers.

Weekly Edit #19

Weekly Edit
#1 Completed another crochet painting. This is by far my favorite one I've crocheted! This piece was inspired by latte art because I have such a fascination with everything coffee related. I actually started working on another latte art crochet painting at the moment which I will share once I complete it.

#2 I know everyone is getting super depressed because of the weather and that it's getting colder and darker but I love it! But I do understand seasonal depression though because I get it during summer.

#3 They started showing new episodes of Star vs. The Forces of Evil this week. The past two seasons they focused on Star Butterfly and her life on Earth but now we get to see her princess life on Mewni. I also love her new wand!

#4 Some of my favorite posts I read this week include this post by Michelle on 'How faking it actually helped me' I could really relate to this post because I went through a similar experience as she did. Another post that I could relate to was this post by Hannah. It's about how to accept a day that doesn't go your way (aka me this whole week!).

#5 I received another Hello Paper Cat order today. I've been obsessed with that shop ever since my last order. I can't wait to show you guys what I got this time! Check out my Instagram to see a sneak peek!

#6 I'm so proud of BTS! Not only will they be performing at the American Music Awards but they are also going to appear on Ellen and The Tonight Show! I've been following these boys since their debut so to see them succeed worldwide just warms my heart. I really hope America treats them well.

#7 This weekend I'm going to start shopping for Christmas supplies to use as props for my blogmas posts. I haven't seen the Target Christmas setup yet but I'm so excited to look through it this weekend.

November Goals ♥ Blog & Lifestyle

November Blog & Lifestyle Goals
It's another new month which means another month to accomplish some new goals. I didn't do as well as I wanted in October and only managed to check off half of my goals but I would still consider that an accomplishment.

October Goals
1. Spending Ban
My stationery obsession got the better of me in October so I spent a lot of money on stationery supplies. I would love to try this again in November but that's when I start Christmas shopping so can't really.

2. Stick to my workout schedule

3. Post 2-4 times a week on Instagram
I did really well with this goal in October because of Blogtober. I gained a lot of new followers thanks to posting more frequently so I will continue to post as often as I can.

4. Post new items in my Etsy shop
I want to finish at least one more crochet piece before I open my shop. As soon as I finish it I will take pictures and post.

5. Start using my bullet journal again

6. Go to the doctor

November Goals
1. Have at least 2 weeks worth of Blogmas posts ready
Pretty much every blogger who is doing Blogmas this year has been planning since September so I need to catch up! This is my 3 or 4 time participating in Blogmas and knowing me I will wait until last minute and stress myself out! That's why I am making it my goal to at least have 2 weeks of Blogmas scheduled and ready to go. Ideally, I would love to have the whole month scheduled but I doubt I will be able to that.

2. Start Studying Korean Again
The reason why I purchased a Traveler's Notebook was to start studying Korean again. I've been on and off with Studying Korean ever since I graduated Highschool in 2011 since I didn't go to college it was a way for me to keep learning but over the years I've put on the backburner. My overall goal is to one day be able to listen to Korean music without looking up the lyrics and watch dramas without using subtitles but I know that will take forever! Baby steps first, start with 1-2 hours of self-study Korean lessons.

3. Reopen Etsy Shop
I'm going to attempt this goal again because this is something I really want to get done.

4. Start taking my blog serious
I've had to this blog for many years but I don't think I've ever taken blogging completely serious. I mean I've continued to blog because it's a fun way to express myself and I love meeting other bloggers who share similar passions as me. But I never sat down and learned about SEO, affiliates, how to make money from blogging, etc. I don't understand these things so I want to learn as much as I can this month because I have tons of goals for this blog but I know only I can take it there if I work hard enough.

5. Stop using my anxiety medicine
A couple years ago I was prescribed a medicine to help reduce heart palpitations that I would get due to stress and anxiety. Earlier this year I got a refill of the same medicine but just the other day I read the side effects from this medicine that I've been taking (I know I should've read this a long time ago) and everything just clicked! I've been feeling really depressed recently (I mean more than usual, lol) but I'm pretty sure it's due to this medicine. I've always been pro-medication because if something is supposed to help you why not take it right? Well, now I'm not so sure. Now I understand why some people refuse to use medicine because of those damn side effects.

Beauty & Lifestyle Favorites ♥ October 2017

October 2017 Favorites
Last month I combined my monthly beauty and lifestyle favorites into one post and this month I've decided to do the same. I used to separate my favorites into two because I didn't want to make one long post but now I'm like the idea of grouping them all together in one lengthy post. Let me know what you guys prefer.

October 2017 Favorites
Cosrx Oil-Free Ultra-Moisturizing Lotion with Birch Sap
It's a very light moisturizer, ideal if you have a multi-step layering routine. It has a lemony scent but not in an annoying kitchen cleaner type of way. I also love the pump dispenser because if you're into K-beauty you know that this type of packaging is rare to find.

Essence Lash Princess - Sculpted Volume Mascara
I bought this a while ago and have been using it pretty much every time I've gotten ready. The curved wand helps with curling, which is nice since I don't use a traditional eyelash curler and always looking for a way to make my lashes stay curled longer. I still prefer the False Lash Effect Mascara but this would be my second favorite mascara by Essence.

Nature's Truth Essential Oil Roll-On Blend - Lavender
Whilst deep in the blog world I found a post on ways to reduce stress (I never bookmark these pages, why?). As a rather stressful individual, I decided to take one of the tips which were to keep relaxing essential oils within your reach. So I bought this roll-on lavender blend and bring with me wherever I go and it actually helps! I also apply some on my wrists so that the scent lingers while I'm working.

Elizavecca Hell Pore Control Hyaluronic Acid Serum
This is my newest addition to my skincare routine. This serum helps reduce signs of early aging and contains whitening benefits. After using this my skin feels moisturized, supple, and my pores have somewhat faded.

October 2017 Favorites
Leuchtturm1917 Bullet Journal
October was definitely the month of stationery for me. I bought tons of new goods and started to use empty notebooks that I haven't used in months, my bullet journal being one of them. I used it to help plan my Blogtober posts, track my finances and even got creative and made a blog ideas page. Maybe I will make a post featuring some of these pages.

Little Miss Paintbrush Stickers
One of the reasons why I didn't use my bullet journal was because of the cover. As you can probably tell I love cute pastel looking things and my bullet journal was the complete opposite of that! It was black, boring and the cover was wrecked from previous stickers that I had taken off. I decided to give my journal a makeover and placed these adorable Little Miss Paintbrush stickers all over the cover to hide all the blemishes. Now I love my bullet journal! There will be a Little Miss Paintbrush/Whimsicute haul coming soon!

Hello Paper Cat Halloween Magnetic Bookmarks
My order from Hello Paper Cat filled was definitely a highlight for me this month. If you saw my October planner spreads then you saw that I used them every week. It's sad that I now have to say goodbye to them. I mean I can probably still get away with using the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup bookmark but I will have to wait next year to use the Candy Dish.

Pusheen Candy Corn Plush Keychain
This was my first time getting a Pusheen blind box and now I want more! I think the size of these plush keychains is perfect for your purse, backpack, keys, etc. I want to get some of the Christmas Pusheens next!

October 2017 Favorites
Stacy's Baked Pita Chips - Simply Naked
My love for pita chips was rekindled in October. I remember trying these a long time ago but was instantly reminded when I saw them in our kitchen pantry. I decided to buy my own bag and have been in love! I have a huge sweet tooth but every now and then I get a craving for something salty, these pita chips satisfy that craving.

Clif Bar - Peanut Butter Banana with Dark Chocolate
Another favorite flavor from Clif. I hate dark chocolate but you can't even taste it in these bars only the peanut butter and banana.

Stationery Haul ♥ Target + Amazon

Stationery Haul
Just going to warn you now that November is going to be the month of stationery! I bought so much stationery in October but because of Blogtober I decided not to post about stationery so I have plenty of hauls saved up that I will be revealed in November. Today I have a haul with stationery items from Target and Amazon. Everything (minus the highlighters) are from Target. If you love stationery posts let me know which ones you would like to see in the comment section.

Stationery Haul
I've always wanted a Travelers Notebook but never liked the simple look of them so when I saw that Target partnered with May Designs and Blue Sky to create these planner-folios I was sold! The planner-folios are made of a faux leather material, contains two monthly planner inserts, three pockets on the sides and four straps on the inside for inserts. There are four different designs pink, dark grey and two different patterns. I promise to post a Travelers Notebook set-up soon!

Stationery Haul
They also sold these notebook inserts that fit in the planner-folio. They only cost $6 for 2 notebooks which I thought was a fantastic deal so I bought them too. I love the designs on the cover!

Stationery Haul
One of my favorite stationery accessories to use is adhesive rollers. I use them all the time for pretty much everything! My favorites are the Scotch brand ones, they are the best in my opinion. I prefer the red roller but they didn't have them the day I went to Target so I bought the pink and yellow rollers. I've always wanted to buy these but worried they wouldn't work as well as the red one but they're not bad (still prefer the original though).

Even though I have tons of stationery I surprisingly don't own any highlighters so I thought it was time to buy some. Pretty much every planner/stationery addict I know owns the Zebra Midliner Highlighters so I decided to purchase these.

Stationery Haul
At Target I found these adorable cactus sticky notes that were too cute to pass up! Target Dollar Spot sticky notes aren't the best quality because they peel easily so I don't buy them that often only when the design is cute.

I also saw this thin glitter washi tape set in the Doller Spot. Looking back this was definitely an impulsive purchase. If you've seen my washi tape collection then you know that I have tons of glitter washi that I rarely use. They were only $1 so I don't feel that bad about buying them and I did use the orange glitter washi in my recent planner spread.

#1 Has everybody finished Stranger Things 2 yet? OMG! I have so much to say but I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't watched it yet. I loved everything minus one thing.

#2 Finished another crochet painting! If you saw my Instagram story on Halloween then you may already be familiar with this piece. I wasn't sure whether or not to add more decorations because I love details but never know when enough is enough. This along with a few of my other crochet painting will be posted on my Etsy shop soon. So if you are interested in any of my crochet pieces make sure to follow me on Twitter to know when I post them up in my shop.

#3 I hate to be that person but I'm not excited for Christmas. I'm haven't been excited for Christmas in years plus Christmas music gets on my nerves.

#4 Speaking of Christmas, can you believe that Starbucks already released their holiday beverages? I mean I love an iced white peppermint mocha as much as the next person but I think it's too soon.

#5 I updated my blog playlist so if you have some free time this weekend and want some new tunes to listen to give it a listen.

#6 After watching this video I decided to make my own happiness journal filled with inspiration and positive quotes and things that make me happy. Let me know if you would like to see a post on it.

#7 I started watching The Unit. It's a music competition program that gives disband or retired K-pop idols a second chance. I've been following this show from the beginning because I'm familiar with a lot of the idols that are competing in the show from when they were in their original groups. I really hope this show does as well as Producer 101 did and gives these idols another shot like N'uest got theirs in Producer 101. Is anybody watching it?

Current Skincare Routine ♥ Autumn 2017

Autumn Skincare Routine
It's time for a skincare update! I last shared my skincare routine with you all in Summer but now that the season has changed and it's gotten colder I've switched to more moisturizing products to combat dryness in autumn. My skincare posts are always long so let's just started!

Autumn Skincare Routine
Step 1: Water
I know I probably shouldn't have to mention that the first thing I do in the morning is to splash cold water on my face but since I layer a bunch of products at night I feel like it's a necessary to get rid of my nighttime layer.

Step 2: Toner - Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater
Next, on a cotton round, I apply some of the Mario Badescu rosewater facial spray. I know this is a spray and not a toner but I like to use it as a toner because it's that amazing! My face feels fresh yet hydrate after I apply this on.

Step 3: Eye Stick - The Saem Iceland Hydrating Eye Stick
On days, when I didn't get enough sleep I roll on my trusty The Saem eye stick. I keep this in the refrigerator this way the coolness can wake me up in the morning.

Step 4: Leftover Mask Essence
Now, I squeeze out as much leftover essence from the mask packaging of the previous night's mask. I pat in the essence and wait for it to absorb.

Step 5: Essence - Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Lotion
After the mask layer has dried I apply a little bit of the Innisfree lotion to keep my skin moisturized. This bottle lasts a long time but I'm almost finished with it and searching for a new essence/emulsion. Any recommendations?

Step 5: Moisturizer - Cosrx Oil-Free Ultra Moisturizing Lotion with Birch Strap
Next, I apply my current moisturizer by Cosrx. I love this lotion! It's light, oil-free and had a lemony scent. It's the perfect moisturizer to use if you are layer skincare products like me.

Step 6: Eye Cream - Elizavecca Gold CF-Nest White Bomb Eye Cream
Yup, I'm still using this eye cream. I think this is my 6 tube?

Step 7: Sunscreen - Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sun Milk
I'm still using this suncream by Etude House. It' dries quickly so I can apply my makeup right away.

Autumn Skincare Routine
Autumn Skincare Routine
Step 1: Makeup Remover - Skin Food Milk Shake Point Make Up Remover
If I am wearing makeup that day I use this makeup remover to remove most (but not all) of my makeup. I mainly just focus on removing my eye makeup. My double cleansing routine can get rid of my face makeup.

Step 2: Cleansing Oil - Etude House Real Art Cleansing Oil
I've added a couple of new products to my evening routine, one of them being this cleansing oil bu Etude House. I use two pumps and massage in the product and watch the makeup melt off my face. I splash lukewarm water to remove the cleansing oil and move to my second cleanser.

Step 3: Cleanser - Philosophy Purity Made Simple Facial Cleanser
Now I use a thicker gel-like cleanser to remove any remaining product, such as sunscreen and makeup. Splash more water to remove the cleanser and pat in the water (I don't use a towel because of #germs).

Step 4: Cosrx One Step Moisture Up Pads
I switched from the Cosrx One Step Pimple Pads to the Moisture Up Pads because of the weather. Both work well with my skin type but I do prefer the original to the moisture pads. The Moisture Up Pads are so those with a dry skin type and the Pimple Clear Pads are for those with oily skin.

Step 5: AHA - Cosrx AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid
Another new product I've been using is the AHA Power Liquid by Cosrx. I've used the BHA Power Liquid so now I'm using the AHA one to see if I have better luck with this one. I haven't made up wheater I like this product or not. I promise to make a post on AHA and BHA soon!

Step 6: Mask - Mizon Joyful Time Essence Masks
Mask time! The Joyful Time Essence Masks by Mizon are my favorite!

Step 7: Serum - Elizavecca Hell Pore Control Hyaluronic Acid Serum
I was going to buy a vitamin c serum but while I was browsing Amazon I found this Hyaluronic Acid Serum by Elizavecca. The packaging caught my eye's because it looked spooky cute (this post was originally going to be posted in October). Hyaluronic Acid heals and combats against early signs of wrinkles, which is why I decided to get this serum instead of a vitamin c serum. I will write a review on this product soon!

Step 8: Moisturizer - Cosrx Oil-Free Ultra Moisturizing Lotion
Almost done! I apply one thin layer of this moisturizer again.

Step 9: Eye Cream - Elizavecca Gold CF-Nest White Bomb Eye Cream
It's eye cream time again!

Step 10: Sleeping Mask - Too Cool For School Pumpkin Sleeping Pack
Finally, I apply another thin layer of the Too Cool For School Pumpkin Sleeping Pack. I adore this sleeping mask so much! It's also very a fall-appropriate product. Review here.

Halloween Tag ♥ Blogtober

Halloween Tag
Happy Halloween! Sadly, today is the last day of Blogtober. I hope you enjoyed all the posts this month as much as I loved putting them together for you guys! In honor of Halloween I wanted to post a tag, there were a couple Halloween tags to choose from but I decided to go with this one. Oh, and I found Lucy's hot dog costume! Isn't she the cutest!

What is your favorite Halloween movie?
I don't really have one. I prefer watching Halloween specials. However, Over the Garden Wall is my favorite Halloween show.

What's is your first Halloween memory?
In first grade, we got to dress up for Halloween (I was sleeping beauty) but got sick and got sent home. Not sure if this was my first memory but it's the first thing that came to mind.

Have you always been a Halloween lover?
Yes! Candy and dressing up are literally my two favorite things! But now that I'm older I don't celebrate it so that sucks.

How do you get into the Halloween spirit?
Decorate my planner with cute spooky stationery, eat candy, and buy Halloween related things.

Favorite Halloween decorations?
Well, I really love the candy skull garland that I crocheted.

How do you plan to spend this Halloween?
Staying home watching Halloween shows/movies, bake veggie mummy dogs, and play Animal Crossing New Leaf.

Name one usual thing you are afraid of?
The Cheshire Cat from the animated version of Alice in Wonderland. I don't like creepy smiles and he just has that disturbing druggy smile that I'm afraid of.

Favorite Halloween song?
Panic! At The Disco version of This is Halloween is my all-time favorite Halloween song.

Do you enjoy carving pumpkins?
Definitely! I love anything that I can be crafty and artistic but I didn't carve one this year.

Halloween party or movie marathon?
Movie marathon! I mean if I had friends and wasn't so socially awkward then yes I would love Halloween parties but sadly that's not my scene.

Almost Halloween Planner Spread ♥ Blogtober

Almost Halloween Planner Spread
It's the final week of Halloween which means the last week of Blogtober. Technically there are only 2 days of Blogtober left and this is one of them. I didn't share a planner spread last week because I didn't fill out the weekend part of the spread but it's pretty much looked similar as this week's spread.

If you enjoyed these weekly spreads let me know so I can post them more regularly. I won't post them too repeatedly but maybe 2-3 times a month would be a fair amount? If you're not a planner addict I can understand these posts might be boring or not be your cup of tea. So let me know your feedback anyways.

Almost Halloween Planner Spread
Here is a brief overview of this week's Halloween spread. All the magnetic bookmarks and pug page marker are from Hello Paper Cat. All the sticker (minutes the round Halloween stickers) are from Sprinkled Pug. I wanted to make this spread super Halloweeny and pumpkin/orange-like because in case I don't show you my actual Halloween week spread.(I still might tho!). The candy washi tape is from TinyBees, pumpkin washi is from Michael's, and the orange glitter washi is from Target.

Almost Halloween Planner Spread
Here is a close-up of the left side. This week I decided to do something different with the extra space that I have on the days I work. If you saw my previous spreads then you know that I would leave my work days open and not separated with exercise check-list (because I don't work out on days that I work #toolazy). So I decided to try something new and write in my blog post for that day. I'm still not sure if I look this look though.

Almost Halloween Planner Spread
Here is the other side. Not much to say about this side expect that I did forget to bubble in some of my tasks and workouts. That shows how much I look at my planner during the weekend.

Weekly Edit #17

Weekly Edit
#1 The biggest news this week is the Animal Crossing mobile game, Pocket Camp. You can see the whole direct here to see what's going to be in the app. It comes out late November. I'm honestly not a huge fan of gaming apps because I don't love being attached to my phone for too long. However, I love the concept of the game (you can decorate your own RV!) and I've played every Animal Crossing game so I have to play this one as well!

Pocket Camp is only available to download in Australia at the moment but there are ways which you can change your app store to play the game early. I'm just going to patiently wait until November.

#2 I decided to purchase one of the Pusheen blind boxes because they kept popping out everywhere and I really wanted one. I got the candy corn Pusheen! It was one that I wanted so I was thrilled. They're smaller then I thought they would be but still just as cute! I'm thinking about getting another one!

#3 If you haven't listened to Epik High's newest album I highly advise you to do so, it's spectacular! Whether you like k-pop or not (even though I wouldn't call Epik High K-pop they're more of Rap/R&B/Hip-hop group) there is a lot of English in the songs and even a few songs that are completely English.

#4 I recently found Tiffany's blog. I found her through this post, which is such a cute idea for snail mail. If you love pastel stationery and planner related stuff then I think you will love her blog!

#5 In order to use my bullet journal more I decorated the cover with stickers from Little Miss Paintbrush. Isn't it cute! I have so many stationery and planner related posts that I will be posting next month so I hope you like those posts. haha

#6 Only two more Blogtober posts. I had such a fun time making these posts for you guys, especially the crochet patterns. Which reminds me, only one more month until Blogmas! I'm still not sure what I'm going to do for Blogmas I was thinking of following the same posting style as Blogtober's because December can be really stressful and posting everyday can be bothersome. I also might not post the 12 Days of DIY this year either but don't worry I will still be posting a few DIY projects and crochet patterns. Who is excited for Blogmas?

#7 Stranger Things 2 came out today! I'm so excited but I have to wait until my younger sister gets back from work because we watch the show together. Who else is going to binge-watch this weekend?

Anyways, I thought it would be fun to crochet the rock that Greg carries throughout the show. It's a pretty easy pattern and should take you under an hour to make.
