Weekly Edit #26

Weekly Edit
#1 I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! We actually had a more relaxing Christmas Day then I thought. My younger sister and I went looking to see if any place were open so we could coffee but only Mcdonalds was open so we got some breakfast (thank goodness for all-day breakfast!) and caramel frappes. We watched White Chicks and Mean Girls which counts as a Christmas movie right? lol

#2 I've decided to not post this weekend because I really need a break and what better way to start 2018 then on a Monday with a fresh post?

#3 This 2016 Kpop remix is amazing! SHIMMixes always has the best Kpop remixes!

#4 I downloaded Style Savvy: Styling Star and have been obsessed with it and playing nonstop ever since. It's such a fun game! If you like cute fashion dress up games I think you will love it.

#5 When I was looking back at choosing what blog posts to feature in My 2017 Favorite Blog Posts I couldn't help but feel somewhat proud of myself. I wrote 192 (including this post) this year which is insane!

#6 This year I'm not going to post my New Year's Resolutions because I'm so bad at keeping up with them! I will write them down and keep at my desk but I'm not going to publish a post because it's embarrassing to look back a year later and realize that you haven't progressed with those goals. I will still be sharing my monthly goals because I'm better at keeping up with those goals for some reason.

#7 I wish you guys a happy and safe New Year! Thank you for reading my blog this year it honestly means so much that a couple of people read my blog and even more when you guys leave comments. I've mentioned before that I've almost stopped blogging countless amount of times but every time I think about quitting someone leaves me a meaning full comment which I take as a sign from the universe that just motivates me to keep going.

This year I've met so many new blogger friends that I admire so much. Thank you, ladies, for reading my blog and communicating with me it means the world to me! It amazes me that even though we live across the globe that this one passion keeps us connected. ♥

My Favorite Posts of 2017
Since everybody is posting their favorite posts of 2017 I decided to share my faves as well. I picked 20 posts but given that I'm so indecisive picking 20 was extremely difficult for me. Check these posts if you haven't already and let me know what was your favorite post that you read on my blog this year.

My Favorite Posts of 2017
One of my most popular post in 2017 was the Best + Worst of COSRX. I was really honest in this post because a lot of the products that I mentioned in this post were cult favorites that a lot of beauty bloggers would swear by but after trying some of these products out I noticed some of these did nothing. I've actually tried many new Cosrx products out since I published this post so I will be posting a new one sometime in 2018.

My Favorite Posts of 2017
I've only bought a few Tsum Tsums since I've posted my Updated Tsum Tsum Collection. After filling up my heart shelf I haven't felt the need to buy new Tsum Tsums. Check out my Top 10 Tsum Tsums if you liked this post.

My Favorite Posts of 2017
I believe this was my first crochet project of 2017. The Polaroid Garland came out much cuter then I thought it would. I can't wait to take it out of storage and display it on my desk again.

My Favorite Posts of 2017
The 23 Random Facts About Me post made it to my favorites because of YOU GUYS! This was one of the posts that I remember getting a lot of comments on so thank you if you commented on this post. I say it all the time but you guys are the ones that keep me going.

My Favorite Posts of 2017
I posted this when Lucy turned 3 years old. I can't believe we've only been 3 Years Together it honestly feels like much longer!

I had so much fun showing you guys my Animal Crossing New Leaf Town Tour. I'm really tempted to show you guys around my town in winter but I haven't played AC in months!

My Favorite Posts of 2017
One of my moments of 2017 was when I went to Walt Disney World to celebrate my birthday and had a Disney week on my blog. My favorite post was the Dole Whip Keychain that I crocheted. Definitely go back if you want to read that whole Disney Series.

My Favorite Posts of 2017
Even though my birthday was a total bummer this year the weekend before my birthday was really wonderful. I mean I went to Dinsey World and got a Unicorn Cake! If you haven't seen my 24 Things I learned post I would highly recommend it.

My Favorite Posts of 2017
The Kiki's Delivery Service Sign that I crocheted was one of my favorite things that I crocheted this year so I had to include it in my 2017 favorites.

My Favorite Posts of 2017
I loved sharing my Desk & Mood Board Tour with you guys. Looking at the pictures just makes me appreciate my desk even more. I still need to buy a new desk chair though. lol

Another highlight of this year was participating in Blogtober! I had so much fun posting Halloween content on my blog. These Frankenstein Vegan Scones were one of my favorite because it was the only recipe that I made this year and they actually came out really yummy plus the decorations were so cute!

My Favorite Posts of 2017
The Lucy's Halloween Costumes post was a difficult post to take pictures of because Lucy kept moving during the photos and she got annoyed with some of the costumes and would take off the hats. However, it was so much fun to edit and write about. Look forward to another Lucy Lookbook coming soon!

My Favorite Posts of 2017
One of my favorite DIYs that I made this year was the Pumpkin Patch Ring Holder. I love making projects that you can actually use and this ring holder does exactly that!

My Favorite Posts of 2017
Over The Garden Wall was one of my favorite shows that I watched in 2017 so I decided to make Greg's rock that he carries in the show. I love how Rock Plush came out and now I have a little piece of the show with me.

My Favorite Posts of 2017
One of my favorite 12 Days of DIY was the Crocheted Christmas Cards. I had originally planned on just making one but kept making them because I loved the way that they turned out. My sisters loved the ones that they got for Christmas!

My Favorite Posts of 2017
The Sprinkled Pug Winter Stickers haul made it onto my 2017 favorites post because of the photos. I took these pictures on a day when I had to take multiple Blogmas pictures but when I went to edit this batch I really loved how the photos came out. If you compare this post to make first Sprinkled Pug haul you can definitely see that my photography has improved.

My Favorite Posts of 2017
The random SNOW Day we had early in December was a complete surprise! I hope we have more snow days in 2018.

My Favorite Posts of 2017
One of the easiest DIYs that I made this year was the Tea Bag Bookmark. If you are new to crochet this would be a great pattern to follow.

My Favorite Posts of 2017
This was a last minute project that I decided to include. The BT21 Van Plush was tricky to make but everything came together nicely and I'm very proud of how it came out. I really want to crochet the rest of the BT21 characters next!

Of course, I had to include my Favorite BTS Songs! I love making playlist especially Kpop playlists so if I had to include just one of my Kpop playlist it was going to be the BTS one.

My Favorite BTS Songs ♥ Blogmas

My Favorite BTS Songs
I've followed BTS (or Bangtan Boys) since they debuted in 2013 with No More Dream. My younger sister was a huge fan of them and we would watch every variety show that they were on back in the day. Fast forward to 2017 and now they're performing on US television shows and BTS is set to perform at a New Year's Rockin' Eve! I'm so proud of them!

As a K-pop fan whenever I see Korean groups get international fame I can't help but feel so proud of them. Korean idols train for years just to get a chance to debut and even then they never know if their group will be successful or not. The Korean music industry is so competitive so BTS deserves all the attention they're currently getting. I put together this playlist of my favorite BTS songs so those who are new or have never heard of BTS can enjoy their incredible music.

My Favorite BTS Songs
Believe it or BTS has been around since 2013 and they have a very impressive music collection. I put together this playlist featuring some of my favorite songs starting with their first to their latest album. My favorite albums are Wings/You Never Walk Alone and Love Yourself. I recommend hearing both of those entirely because it's so hard to pick a few favorites from those albums. Some of the songs in my playlist have music videos so I recommend watching those to watch their amazing choreography!

Who is your favorite BTS member? I love them all but V holds a special place in my heart.

What I Got For Christmas 2017 ♥ Blogmas

What I Got For Christmas
Yup! Blogmas is still a thing at least on my blog. As mentioned before, I will keep posting until the end of December. Some people either love these type of posts or not I personally love seeing what other bloggers got for Christmas. I'm typing half of this post ahead of time so on Christmas Day I can just take pictures of the things I received from my family, edit, and publish the following day (today). That being said, I don't know what I'm getting because I wasn't even asked what I wanted this year but I like anything cute so I don't think I'm a difficult person to shop for. I pretty sure I know what my mother got me but everything else is a complete mystery to me.

What I Got For Christmas
Let's start with what my parents got me first. These are the two things I knew I was getting from my mom because when we were shopping earlier this month she asked me if I wanted anything at Journey's and I said I wanted a white Adidas sweatshirt and whenever I mention anything I want in December she buys it for me for Christmas, and she did. She also bought me a PINK winter sleepshirt which I knew I was getting that too because I was with her when she bought it.

What I Got For Christmas
My mother also got me the Too Faced Clover Palette! I wasn't expecting this so I was happy to receive it. My dad gave me some Christmas money to spend on whatever I want.

What I Got For Christmas
Here is what the eyeshadow shades look like inside. This is my third Too Faced palette I've gotten for Christmas in a row! Let me know if you guys would like to see a Too Faced palette collection post or a review.

What I Got For Christmas
My younger sister got me a Sailor Moon Pop vinyl figure (do they not call them Funko Pop! anymore?). I want to start a Pop vinyl figure collection with some of my favorite characters so this is an excellent start! By the way, do you guys keep your figures in the box? I always unbox mine because I think it's a waste to keep in the boxes.

What I Got For Christmas
My older sister bought me a dreamcatcher, a blind bag Tokidoki clip-on plush, and a sheet mask. I've always wanted a dreamcatcher but I heard you're not supposed to buy your own because it's bad luck not sure if that's true or not but that's my reason why I haven't bought one.

My older sister also bought me an Alice in Wonderland varsity jacket. I wasn't expecting this but it was a wonderful surprise! I love the colors and embroidery on the jacket and it fits perfectly! I can't wait until it gets a little warmer so I can wear it.

A Christmas Tag ♥ Blogmas

A Christmas Tag
Merry Christmas! I hope whatever you guys are doing today that you have a wonderful day. In past years, I've either posted a playlist or Tag and this year is no different! Yesterday I posted my winter playlist so today I'm posting this tag that I found on Cate's blog. I'm sorry in advance if this post is kind of depressing it's just that I'm not crazy about Christmas.

Do you start your Christmas shopping on Black Friday or wait until last minute?
I've always started Christmas shopping on Black Friday but this year I didn't for some reason. I was cheeky and just bought myself some stuff.

If you could be in any Christmas movie, what would it be?
I mean every Christmas movie is set in New York so I would be happy with any Christmas in New York sort of movies because I've always wanted to go to NY.

Which do you like better: Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
Christmas Day because that's the day we stay in our pajamas all day and open presents.

When does your family (or you) put up your Christmas tree and who decorates it?
My dad setups our Christmas tree on Thanksgiving and my sisters and I decorated it but this year we didn't do that.

White lights or colored lights?
As much as I love colorful things I do prefer white lights.

Are you guilty of peeking at your presents or do you like the surprises?
I used to when I was younger but I don't really care anymore.

Would you rather live in a gingerbread house or Santa's workshop?
Gingerbread house because I could eat it!

Tell us your Christmas Eve traditions!
We throw a Christmas party every year at our house and invite all of our relatives. When it turns midnight we hug each other and say Merry Christmas. I never got why we did that but I'm not a fan because of #anxiety.

If you could be under the mistletoe with anyone who would it be?
I have so many biases that I can't pick just one! I'm fine with my Pomeranian, Lucy because I am #foreveralone.

What tops your Christmas tree?
Both our main tree and my mini tree are topped with stars.

Can you name the 12 days of Christmas?
Partridge in a pear tree, 2 turtle doves, 3 french hens, 4 calling birds, 5 golden rings, 6 geese a laying and that's all I can remember without looking it up. Did the person who came up with this song live on a farm? Why so many animals?

Have you ever gone Christmas caroling?
No. As you guys know I hate Christmas songs so the idea of going out in a group of people knocking on strangers houses and singing sounds like my nightmare.

Do you countdown to Christmas? If so, how many days left?
Well, I made these Christmas countdown blocks and it's Christmas Day today so...

What are some foods and treats you can count on having ever holiday season?
The white peppermint mocha is my favorite Starbucks holiday drink and cream puffs!

How has Christmas kept its magic for you as you've grown older?
It's lost it's magic for me as I've gotten older.

Whenever your younger you can't wait for Christmas and the whole Santa thing but as sad as it sounds once you get older Christmas isn't that "magical" anymore. If you have kids or younger siblings you want to keep making special moments for them but my younger sister is about to turn 18 and no longer gets excited so I'm no longer excited for Christmas either which is why Christmas isn't my favorite holiday.

Winter Playlist ♥ Blogmas

Winter Playlist
Merry Christmas Eve! We are having our Christmas party at my house which means time to party! What better day to publish my winter playlist, right? I'm not the biggest fan of Christmas music the only type of Christmas music that I like is the depressing sounding songs. That's why I decided to put together a winter playlist instead featuring some of my favorite winter songs with a few Christmas songs sprinkled in. What's your favorite Christmas song?

I made a playlist through Spotify because its easier for you guys to listen to but they didn't have all of the songs I wanted to include in this playlist available (*whispers JYP*) so I linked a few songs that weren't available on Spotify below.

Splatoon 2 Game Review ♥ Blogmas

Splatoon 2 Game Review
This review on Splatoon 2 is long overdue! I planned on posting sometime in August-September once I had finished playing the story mode but forgot and I know if I didn't post this review before the year ended I know I never would so here it is my review on Splatoon 2.

If you have never played the first Splatoon game then this may sound confusing trying to explain Splatoon 2 as best as I can

Splatoon 2 Game Review
Splatoon 2 is a team-based third-person shooter game where you play as these characters called Inklings (they have the ability to shapeshift between humans to squid forms) and "splat" your opponents with different weapons using colorful ink. The Inklings live in Inkopolis Square where you can buy new weapons and gear to help improve your skills.

Two years after the first Splatoon final Splatfest the Squid Sisters, Callie (the loser of the Splatfest tournament) and the Great Zapfist (Inkopolis' source of power) go missing. Marie (the winner of Splatfest, the other half of Squid Sisters, and cousin of Callie) goes looking for Callie and enlists the help of weapon expert Sheldon (he sells the weapons), and agent 4 (you, the player) to go fight against the Octarians in Octo Canyon to go find Callie and the Zapfish.

Splatoon 2 Game Review
After you have completed the story mode of the game there are various game modes that you can play. You can either play 4 on 4 team battles or 2-4 player co-op game called Salmon Run.

Turf Wars - This is the default mode is regular battles. In a team, you have to cover the most surface with ink with your teams color.

Tower Control - Ride a moving tower into enemy territory. Whoever gets closest before time runs out wins.

Splat Zones - Cover certain parts of the map with your ink before time runs out.

Rainmaker - Carry a special weapon called the Rainmaker to the enemy base.

Clam Blitz - The newest game mode. Collect calms scattered around the stage and throw them into the basket near the opponents base. The first team to score 100 points wins.

Salmon Run - Two to four team members must work together to defeat waves of enemies called the Salmonids white collecting valuable golden eggs.

Every month or so there is a special one-day turf war event called Splatfest. During Splatfest you choose a side and battle for your side to win. Whichever team wins at the end of the event gets special prizes!

Splatoon 2 Game Review
Overall, I LOVE Splatoon 2! I love the new gear they added plus they have so many other hairstyles and bottoms to choose from. Plus, they're still updating the game so who knows what other stages and gear they will be adding.

The first Splatoon is available for the Nintendo Wii U but Splatoon 2 is only for the Nintendo Switch. If you have either game console I would recommend both games!

You can buy Splatoon 2 here.

Weekly Edit #25

Weekly Edit
#1 This week Kim Jong-hyun passed away. He was the lead vocalist of Shinee. Saying he had an amazing voice would be an understatement. As you guys know I'm a huge K-pop fan but I'm not biased towards any group. Shinee was one of the first Korean boy groups that I started listening to. I knew all the members and would listen to each member 's solo songs. I'm not great with words but this post written by Jasmine was beautifully written. She somehow managed to take all my thoughts and write them down. Down below I listed some of my favorite songs by Jonghyun below so you guys can listen to his music for yourself. It's such a shame to see such a talented artist like Jonghyun go.

#2 I hope you guys enjoyed the 12 Days of DIY posts. I honestly didn't think I would finish this year but every year I somehow managed to make 12 projects. What was your favorite DIY?

#3 One more week until Blogmas! Is it sad that I want this month to end just so that I can finally relax? I know some people only blog up until Christmas Day but I always complete the month because it's so close to the end why not just add a few days, right? The only post that I don't have ready is the 'What I Got For Christmas' post which will probably go up the after Christmas but aside from that all of my posts are ready to go.

#4 It was my mother's 50th birthday on Wednesday. My dad got her chocolates, roses, wrote a letter and balloons. Inside the box of chocolates was $1000 that were folded into hearts. My dad didn't know what to give my mother so he said to use that money to buy herself whatever she wants. If that isn't #goals I don't know what is.

#5 Nobody asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I mean my younger sister asked me for a list but my parents didn't ask me and my mom said she already got my gift. I'm pretty sure my sister showed them but I think I know what I might get. I love surprises but my family sucks at surprising me.

#6 I tried the Starbucks eggnog latte earlier this week because I always here other bloggers mentioning it so I decided to try it. It was DISGUSTING! The smell didn't help it either and made me want to gag! I ordered a soy version though and the barista was telling me that it was made using a non-fat milk but they still managed to make me one with soy milk maybe that's why it tasted weird?

#7 This week was difficult for me. Jonghyun's passing affected me more than I thought it would. Every time I thought I was done feeling sad a picture, video, or someone would mention him and all the feelings would come back. But I know a lot of people who were discussing him also were going through the same emotions so it made me feel better and that it's ok to feel this way.

I always feel somewhat guilty when famous people die because who am I to feel this way when I didn't even know them personally? As fans, we only know a certain side of them, unlike their friends and family. My heart aches when I think about how his family, fellow members, and friends must be feeling. You did well Jonghyun.
