Japanese Fashion Books ♥ My Collection

My Japanese Fashion Books Collection
I have always had a love for Japanese fashion. I have countless Japanese magazines, books and follow many Japanese models blogs. Can't understand a word of what they say but the way they piece together outfits and the way they edit their photos inspire me! My favorite magazines are Zipper, Popteen and Nylon Japan. As for books, I have a stack of Harajuku fashion bloggers/models books that I will be showing today. Every model has a different style so each book is unique.

My Japanese Fashion Books Collection
Natsume San by Mito Natsume
This was my first ever model book. I first saw a preview of this book on Harajuku Kawaii TV (what ever happened to that show?) and I was hooked! Her style is quirky kid meets stylish grandma. She's not my favorite model but I love her odd taste in fashion. You can see a preview of this book here.

My Japanese Fashion Books Collection
Ayumi Seto Complete Book Ayumi Kidz
Ayumi is my all-time favorite Japanese model and the one who got in interested in Harajuku fashion. Her cute doll-like features is what drew me to Ayumi. Her style is high school tom boy with a hint of retro flare. In Ayumi's first fashion book it features many of her past looks, lifestyle favorites, beauty looks and tutorials, along with a inside look at her brand, Aymmy.

Kidult Girl Ayumi Seto Style Book
A few years past and now Ayumi has a second book! It's bigger and contains more content then her first. In Ayumi's Style Book it shows how her style has evolved since her first book. This book offers a closer look at her current looks, beauty and lifestyle favorites. She also shares her past hair cuts and styles. There is also a closer look at her (now successful) fashion brand, Aymmy. I think it's amazing how far her company has come since she released her first book! I'm so proud of Ayumi!

I would've shown a preview of this book like I have with all my Japanese model books. However, the book got wet in the mail and is all wrinkly now. You can't tell in the picture but in real life it looks like a dried up newspaper. I could have returned it for a new one but that would've taken longer (it took me like 2 months to get this book) and then I would've had to pay for overseas shipping so I just kept it instead.

My Japanese Fashion Books Collection
Nowhere by Culumi Nakada
Now onto Culumi's style book, Nowhere. I became interested in Culumi's style after seeing her hang out with Ayumi so often. Her style is dark 90's grudge rock chic. Culumi own's this look though and makes her causal outfits look effortlessly fashionable. She wears a lot of black (which isn't my cup of tea) but how she wears it with black hair inspire me to play with my look. I myself have black hair and hate wearing too much black because I feel like a goth. Preview here!

My Japanese Fashion Books Collection
Get Up Girly For Neo Girly Girls Directed by Amo
Out of all the books I've shown this one suits my aesthetic the best. Amo is a very popular Harajuku model who models for various brands. She's one of my favorite models (next to Ayumi). Her style is really feminine with a splash of cutesy girly. She's like the Alice of Wonderland (by wonderland I mean Tokyo). I love it when she wears cute outfits but I've noticed she prefer simple feminine looks now. This book is really cute and her recommendations are amazing! Definitely pick this book up if you're a girly girly like Amo and I!

Ariul Juice Cleanse Masks ♥ Beauty Review

Ariul Juice Cleanse Masks Beauty Review
I've been waiting to write this review for the Ariul Juice Cleanse Masks for a while. When I received them in my Juice Box I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to finally review them. I first received these in the Ariul Detox Box I bought from Memebox a couple months ago and fell in love with the juice bottle packaging. But after trying these a total of 12 times each so I have a pretty decent opinion of each. Let's start!

Ariul Juice Cleanse Masks Beauty Review
Ariul Juice Cleanse Masks Beauty Review

Ariul Juice Cleanse Mask Raspberry + Lentil - Contains high quality berry extracts that assist in detoxing the skin. Rich in nutrients and antioxidants that effectively eliminate dirt and toxins from the skin. Promotes a brighter complexion and a healthy glow.

Pros
- Affordable
- Packaging cute
- Comes with a lot of essence

Cons
- Rips easily
- Dries fast (this could be a pro to some though)
- Doesn't cover the nose area too well

My Experience
After trying these sheet masks a total 12 times, three times each for each mask! I can tell you guys that I don't like these masks. The biggest problem with them are the sheet. It doesn't cover most of  the nose area. Imagine a thumb size area next to your nose that isn't covered. The sheet tears easily, which is annoying! It rips around the nose area the most.

The masks also dry up fast! They probably take 10-15 minutes to completely absorb into your skin, I usually keep the masks on until the sheet is fully dry (most masks take 25-40 minutes tops). If you are running low on time I guess these would be great but I prefer a long wearing mask.

The only plus signs with this mask are that the packaging comes with a lot of leftover essence. Which I appreciate because I love to put in the remaining essence into my skin and neck.

Would I repurchase?
No. I've tried these masks plenty of times and still don't like them. I wouldn't recommend them either.

Currently ♥ Blog & Shop Updates

Blog & Shop Updates
Hello guys! To start off the week I'm going to share what I'm currently up to in my life. This is a pretty lengthy post so go grab a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy!

I'm currently in the process of crocheting items for my Etsy shop reopening! For those who didn't know I created this blog to help promote my shop (that didn't end up happening) but instead fell in love with blogging! I started sharing about my fascination with beauty and other interests that I completely abandoned my shop!

You may be asking why I'm suddenly reopening my shop., right? Well, it was one of my New Year's resolutions and I honestly just miss crocheting. I don't crochet too often because I have so much random crochet projects laying around that hate seeing them go to waste. I usally only crochet things now if they have a meaning like a carpet or other home decor items. I also want to reopen my shop because I would like to make some extra income. I never made a lot of money selling on Etsy but any amount would mean a lot to me. I really want to save up for a SLR/DSLR camera and new laptop, both of mine are slowing dying.

I use to have a different name for my blog (brownie points if you remember what it was called) but later switched it to MooeyAndFriends, to match my shop's name. I wasn't active with my shop at the point so I threw my shop under the bust and focused mainly on my blog. Now, I'm at the point where I want to split up my blog from my shop and focus on them separately. So expect some changes in the next couple of months.

My shop will still remain as MooeyAndFriends but my blog will be getting a makeover! Not anything huge just a new banner (I got an illustrator to make me a new cute banner) and other slight changes not anything drastic. The biggest change will be the name. I'm planning on a name change for my blog along with the new blog design. But all of this will be relieved in time. I'm aiming for early May but possibly sooner! First, I need to crochet my but off and reopen my shop.

Speaking of my shop, do any of you have any items you would like to see? I've sold dolls, sleep masks and accessories in the past but my most successful products were my dolls and sleep masks. I personally love making sleep masks because I love drawing up different designs and they were easier to make. Dolls were more troublesome but I always felt satisfied after completely one. I actually haven't made a doll in ages though! I would crochet them differently now because I made dolls back when I was still pretty new at crochet. I also have a lot of my old inventory stored away. I planed on selling mystery grab bags with 3-4 random items and selling them for $15-20, so that I could get rid of them. I'm still thinking if I should post them or not. Let me know your thoughts! I always second guess myself, so your opinions would mean a lot to me!

In terms of content, I'm still sticking with the same type of posts like beauty and lifestyle with splashes of crochet posts here and there. I'm also going to try to add some more personal posts like this and my newest series of posts, The Weekly Guide. I feel like I've always lacked in the personal department. Overall, I'm pretty reserved and usually keep to myself and dislike sharing my feelings to people. But I went to slowing open to myself to you guys and share more about me because you readers are like my friends. It means a lot that you take time out of your day to view and read my blog posts, I love you guys! Anyways, I need to go to sleep because I have work tomorrow! I wrote this at 3AM and need to be up in a few hours! Have an amazing week!

What's your thoughts on the upcoming blog changes? And, what would you like to see in my Etsy shop?

Spring Bunnies ♥ Weekly Planner Spread

Spring Bunnies Planner Spread
Happy Easter (for those who celebrate it)! I'm back at it with the weekly spreads! Last week I didn't really fill in my planner so I skipped last week's planner spread, it was a total fail anyways! This week's theme was obviously Easter! But since I couldn't find any Easter stickers I also made it spring theme since it was also the first week of Spring.

Spring Bunnies Planner Spread
Here is the left side of my planner. To give the spread more of a "Easter theme" I drew in Easter eggs and added all of my Tsum Tsum bunny stickers. I originally had another washi tape at the bottom but I didn't like it so I removed it and used this cute pastel butterfly washi that I bought at Michael's on Wednesday. It did cover my water trackers at the bottom but I was alright with that.

Spring Bunnies Planner Spread
Here is the right side. This week I changed things up in my work out routine. I'm pretty bored with the Blogilates work outs to be honest. After a while it feels like I've bee doing the same workouts over and over again. So next week (beginning tomorrow) I'm starting Tone It Up again. I did a few of their work outs this week and it was fun and I felt so incredible afterwards!

Do you celebrate Easter? If so, what did you do today?

Bunny Butts & Doughnuts ♥ The Weekend Guide #1

Bunny Butts & Doughnuts ♥ The Weekend Guide #1
Happy Friday everyone! Today I'm starting a few blog series called, The Weekend Guide! I've seen many bloggers do this type of post but it was Abby who inspired me to start posting these weekly posts! This post will basically be a Weekend Guide filled with things I'm currently obsessed with, reading, listening, watching, crafting, etc. I will also be sharing pictures and information of what I did this week and what I have planned for the weekend.

This weekend is Easter Sunday! We don't really celebrate Easter but we are going to have Lucy's third Easter hunt! We put treats in those pastel colored plastic eggs and hide them in our backyard. She sniffs out the eggs with her nose and we open the eggs for her and she eats the treats. It's super cute! I will post a picture on my Instagram on Sunday. I'm also thinking of starting an Instagram account for Lucy. Would any of you follow my adorable Pomeranian puppy? I follow so many puppy accounts so opening one for my dog seems like common sense. hehe

Michaels + Target Finds ♥ Stationary Haul

Michaels & Target Stationary Haul
I haven't posted a stationary haul in the longest time! Remember back when I posted a stationary/sticker haul post every Monday? The truth is that I have purchased a few stationary goodies every now and then but nothing huge, not haul-worthy anyways. Yesterday, I went to Target and Michael's Craft Store in search for some Easter stickers to decorate my weekly spread but had no luck! However, I did find some other stationary goods that I would share with you guys.

Michaels & Target Stationary Haul
Let's start with my Target stationary finds first! My local Target use to carry so much Dollar Spot stationary goods but lately they're not restocking as much as they use to. Which saddens me because I always see planner accounts on Instagram posting their impressive Dollar Spot selections.

Anyways, here are a few goods I've found on my past Target trips. I found this cute notepad set with a large magnet notepad that says "market", a mini strawberry note pad and a pen, all for $3. Honestly, I just bought this because of the strawberry notepad! I also found a really cute bunny pen and some cute purple floral post cards. These are both from past trips but they are so cute I just had to share with you guys!

Michaels & Target Stationary Haul
Now onto my Michael's purchases! I've been searching for these Happy Planner pocket folders for the longest time! But finally my local Michael's finally had them! I plan on using these to keep all my stickers that don't fit in my sticker books.

They also had two of the new Happy Planners, which I was so tempted to buy but I held myself back! I'm hoping they come out with another planner decorative cover pack that contains the newest Happy Planner covers because they're too adorable!

Michaels & Target Stationary Haul
Like I said earlier I was looking for Easter stickers but couldn't find them! However, I did find these really cute chalkboard-like stickers. They are also by The Happy Planner/Create 365/MAMBI. It comes with 5 sheets of stickers. There pretty big stickers so I might use them in my monthly spreads rather then the weekly spread.

Michaels & Target Stationary Haul
Since I couldn't find any Easter stickers I tried looking for some floral or spring sticker but couldn't find any either. I'm probably just going to have to buy them off of Esty. I haven't ordered any Etsy planner stickers in a while because every time I do I spend too much! I've been trying to hold myself back and use up the current stickers I have before I make my next Etsy purchase. Looks like it's time! Michael's did have some gorgeous washi tape though! They had very springy and glittery washi for $1.99 so I bought these two rolls.

When is the last time you bought some stationary goods?

Korean Beauty Wishlist ♥ The Face Shop, Missha & Mediheal

Korean Beauty Wishlist #4
Recently a lot of Korean beauty companies have released some awesome collaborations! The two I will be talking about are Missha X Line Friends and The Face Shop X Kakao Friends. I thought it would be fun to show you some of my favorite items from these collections in case you haven't seen them yet.

Missha partnered with the app Line to create some really adorable items! This collection includes cushions, lip tints, hand lotions, eye shadow palettes, cleansing foams, mascaras and more! From Missha, the only things I really want are their cushions because they look so adorable! The Brown cushion is suppose to be a matte cushion which seems so interesting because instead of a dewy finish the cushions dries to a matte finish. I also want the Sally cushion because like I said they packaging is too cute to pass up!

Mediheal also partnered with Line to create some Line Friends Ampoule Masks! You guys know I love me some sheet masks so these are right up my alley! The sheet masks are white but on the cheek area there is a picture of one of the characters. It looks like a sticker. Simple yet so cute!

Last but not least is The Face Shop X Kakao Talk Friends collaboration. This is the newest collection that was just recently released! The series contains perfumes, hand creams, sheet masks, concealers, melting lip colors and a few sunscreen products. The first thing that caught my eye's from this collection was the Natural Sun Eco Baby Sun Cushion. It's a cushion sunscreen cushion with no color. The main reason I want this is because of the cute illustration on the cushion case! Another product I'm eyeing are the Concealer Dual Veil. I was already interested in getting this concealer because I heard it's a pretty amazing concealer, they just repackage it for this collection. At first I wasn't interested in the Melting Color Lip Creamers but after looking at the swatches I may end up getting one. Last but not least are the Character Mask Set. I'm still debating whether or not I should get these. It comes with five masks of a different character. The masks are the characters, some look really creepy but some also look super adorable!

What would you buy from these collections?

How To Clean Cushion Puffs (and brushes) ♥ Brush Care 101

Brush Care 101
Just like your face, you have to cleanse your makeup tools regularly too. It's annoying, a hassle and we all don't want to do it but it's an essential! By washing your makeup brushes you are preventing breakouts and the transfer of germs and bacterial throughout your face. Today I am showing you how I properly clean my makeup brushes and cushion puffs. Which are a pain in the butt to clean! However, I found the quickest and easiest way to clean them and it only requires one thing, well technically three!

Brush Care 101
I bought the Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette not to long ago and have been using it to wash all my makeup tools. It's soooo amazing! The hot pink palette is made out of silicon and comes with a handle on the back so you can attach it to your hand. The surface contains three different size silicon dots that help remove all the dirt and oil off your tools. The package included two samples of the Real Techniques Deep Cleansing Gel. I've only used the gel a few times and it's pretty decent.

Previously, I would just wash all my beauty tools on my hand with some brush cleaner and water. But all the water would irritate my hand. So I bought this and it's now one of my favorite purchases of this year! This cleaning palette has changed my whole brush cleansing process and has made this processes quick and easy!

Brush Care 101
As for what I use to cleans my beauty tools, I use the Sonia Kashuk Brush + Sponge Cleaner. It's a spray cleaner, which means it's faster to use! I simply spritz the brush cleaner onto the cleaning palette and carefully and quickly sanitize my brushes. I brush my brushes in back-and-forth motion and then rinse. I repeat this process until the water off the brush rinses clear and the bristles look clean.

How To Clean Cushion Puffs
What I love about this palette is that it does a remarkable job at cleaning cushion puffs! I simply spritz the palette and gently scrub the puffs a few times and they're fresh and new! Before, I would simply just throw away my cushion puffs because I was fed up with how much I cleaned them! I would clean them over and over again and they still had makeup residue all in them! If you frequently use cushion foundations I would recommend you buy this palette so you can easily clean your puffs.

Brush Care 101
How do you clean your makeup tools? and how often?

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream ♥ Beauty Review

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream Review
Prevention is key when it comes to wrinkles and other signs of aging. Because by the time you have said wrinkles it will be difficult to diminish them. So if you're in your early 20's start using eye cream, sun screen and other anti-aging products asap! You don't have to be excessive and buy a whole line of anti-aging skincare products (but that wouldn't hurt). Just make sure you take good care of your skin and treat it well. Today I will be reviewing a popular Korean anti-aging cream that I've heard many fabulous reviews on. The Moistfull Collagen Cream by Etude House. Moistfull Collagen by Etude House is a line of skincare products that helps firm up and hydrate your skin. So, how did this cream perform? Let's find out!

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream Review
Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream Review
Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream Review
Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream Review
Product description
"Small Super Collagen water particles in the Moistfull cream always keep your skin hydrated and leave your skin feeling like jelly. While this cream is soft, its contact on your skin is firm and hydrates your skin all day, leaving your skin healthy."

Pros
- Moisturizing
-Hydrating
- Firming
- Light scent
- Not oily
- Not sticky
- Comes with spatula

Cons
- No SPF

My Experience
I love this cream for many reasons but one of the reasons is because  of it's perfect consistency! It's not too oily or too watery nor thick. It doesn't have a strong scent. It's slightly citrusy but a tad bit sweeter. And comes with a tiny spatula so you don't have to dig your fingers inside the tub. There is also a lot of product. The first time I used this cream I used up the whole container is about 3 months, so it does last a long time. The price isn't too bad either, you can find it online from $15-$25 which I think is pretty good considering it's an anti-aging product.

So how does the collagen do at reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Well, i'm only 22 so I don't have any wrinkles but I'm always trying to prevent them. Since using this cream I have notice that my skin is more firm and bouncy, especially on my forehead!

The only downside I found with this cream is that it doesn't contain any type of SPF or sun protection properties. This doesn't bother me too much because I always use a sun screen before I go outside but it is slightly bothersome.

Would I repurchase?
Definitely! This cream has easily become a new favorite! I will repurchase it until I can find a new cream that can replace this amazing cream!

Juice Box Unboxing ♥ 30 Day Sheet Masks

Juice Box Unboxing
A few weeks ago I saw that Memebox posted a picture on their Instagram of their Juice Box which contains 30 sheet masks! I am currently using sheet masks everyday so I bought this box to expand my sheet mask collection. The Juice Box contains 30 sheet masks. There is a variety of sheet masks to choose in this kit so I'm excited to try out different sheet masks from different brands I've never tried before. Let's take a look at all the sheet masks included in this box.

Juice Box Unboxing
Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask
I've never tried any of the Innisfree masks before but have always wanted to try them! I'm glad that they included six different masks, there is strawberry, acai berry, kiwi, black berry, lime and pomegranate.

Juice Box Unboxing
Skin79 Fruit Mask
You guys have probably seen those creepy looking animal sheet masks floating around before, but have you ever seen a fruit version? Well Skin79 has made pomegranate, watermelon and strawberry sheet masks! Unlike those animal masks these actually look cute and might not make you look like a serial killer.

Juice Box Unboxing
Skin Factory Vega Vita Plex Ampoule Mask
I got 2 of these sheet masks. The packaging reminds me of those advertisements you get on your door or hotel. Apparently this mask is super poplar in Korea and one is sold each second (who keeps track of that really?). I have super high expectations on this mask now and might even review it for you guys.

Tosowoong Pure Blueberry Mask
I also got two copies of the Tosowoong Pure Blueberry mask. I've seen this mask around but never had any interest in using it. It's a whitening sheet mask, which I enjoy so hopefully it will brighten my face beautifully!

Juice Box Unboxing
Ariul 7 Days Mask
I received these 7 Day Masks previous in a Ariul Memebox I ordered a while ago. I got two of each mask. I've tried the lemon and avocado masks before but the pomegranate is new to me.

Juice Box Unboxing
Ariul Juice Cleanse Mask
These masks were also in the Ariul Memebox. Again I got two of each of these mask, 8 total. Ariul has some really cute packaging when it comes to sheet masks but after trying all these masks before I wouldn't personally buy them. If you would like me to go into more detail as to why I didn't enjoy both the 7 Day and Juice Cleanse Masks let me know and I will write a review on them.

Juice Box Unboxing
Berrisom Oops Soda Bubble Masks
Out of all the masks I'm most excited to try these bubble masks! These are self-bubbling masks that contain carbonated sparkling water to give you brighter and clearer skin. My only complaint is that the mask don't cover your forehead! I mean don't you want to experience this on your forehead as well?

Juice Box Unboxing
Mogongtox Soda Bubble Sheet
So this mask doesn't come with the Juice Box, I ordered this separately. After watching Morgan from The Beauty Breakdown review this I was sold! It's also a bubble mask like the Berrisom ones but this is from a different brand so the results may differ.

Juice Box Unboxing
How often do you use sheet masks?
