15 Facts About Me ♥ Random Facts

1. Inside my mouth I have a mole on my bottom lip. Lucy has one on her tongue.

3. I live in yoga pants and leggings. It's all I ever wear!

4. My favorite times of the day is when the sun rises and sun sets. The sky looks so pretty at those times!

12. I'm not comfortable showing too much skin in pubic. Like my whole arms and legs. If I do show them I feel very uncomfortable.

13. My kpop love started back in 2008-2009 (which is my opinion had the best music ever!) when I was in high school. I've been a fan for almost 8 years! I first started listening to Girls' Generation then I found more girl groups and then I eventually got into boy groups and have been a fan of kpop ever since!

14. Loose hairs on my body annoy me so much! Since getting Lucy this happens more frequently now. I can probably build another dog with the amount of fur I've found in my mouth!

3 Eye Creams To Try ♥ Mini Beauty Review(s)

When I turned 20 I started adventuring into eye creams because your 20's is when you are suppose to start really taking care of your skin if you want to prevent premature aging. At first I tried anything that was handed to me like from Birchbox or any other samples I had laying around. Today I am reviewing two eye products that I've been testing out for the past few months and sharing my favorite $8 eye cream that I swear by!

Boots Expert Sensitive Hydrating Eye Cream:
I've been using this eye cream for the past year and I adore it! I thought an $8 eye cream wouldn't serve any purpose to my eye bags but it hydrates and whitens my dark tired eyes from lack of sleep. The cream formula sinks into my skin and nourishes the thin skin around my eyes. I lightly dab a little bit of this cream in the morning and at night and it's really made a difference in my eye's appearance. If you are interested in trying out an eye cream that brightens and hydrates your eyes I highly recommend this eye cream. You can find it at Target.

Tony Moly Panda's Dream Good-Bye Dark Eye Corrector:
I was drawn to this eye corrector originally because of the adorable packaging. However, I wasn't impressed with this product at all! It really doesn't do anything. The cream is white and thick, I really have to massage this under my eyes for the whiteness of the cream to dissolve and sink into the skin (but it really just sits there). You would think that the thick white cream would at least brighten my dark eyes but no.

Shea Terra Organics Argan + Green Coffee Around-Eye Beauty Serum:
If you want to take your eye cream game to a different level try using an eye serum. This eye serum contains argan oil that soothes and smooth skin around the eye. The green coffee bean oil contains powerful antioxidants and stimulates blood circulation for brighter looking youthful eyes. I apply the serum at night and massage around the eye area, little goes a long way.

Do you use an eye cream? If so, which one do you use?

Days 110-116 ♥ 365 Challenge

Day 110: I was in the mood for ice cream so I checked out the coconut milk ice creams (since I've discovered I'm sensitive to lactose I'm trying out dairy free versions of everything) and found a cookie dough flavor! I didn't like it as much as I thought I would but it still tasted good. I wish there were more cookie dough bites in it though. Next time I will try the cookies and cream flavor!

Day 111: An iced soy caramel macchiato from Starbucks. This whole week I was really craving iced coffee for some reason, probably because of the warm weather.

Day 112: I was checking what was in the refrigerator and found these interesting jellos. I don't know where they came from but the flower ones look incredibly cool!

Day 113: Lucia taking a nap on my bed wearing her new cheetah dress. She's such a little diva!

Day 114: Taco Bell knows me so well.

Day 115: Please excuse my nail polish. My nails are finally back to normal! Last year when I got my acrylics off I thought I had lost my long and strong nails but now they're back and as healthy as ever! This is probably the longest I've had healthy nails in a long time! This means I can make notd/notw posts again! I took a break from making notd posts because my nails were so weak and brittle that my polish would even last two days! I would go weeks without painting my nails (and anybody who knows me knows that I absolutely love painting my nails) but know I'm painting my nails like crazy again! I missed my nails so much! NEVER! EVER! GET ACRYLIC NAILS!

Day 116: I've tried the previous miss manga mascara before so I can't wait to try the rock version. It must be new because I haven't heard anybody talk about yet. I will let you know what I think about it.

April Birchbox ♥ Monthly Subscription

I was incredibly happy this month to see my monthly Birchbox dressed up in a spring themed box designed by Rifle Paper Co. The colors and flowers look absolutely beautiful! I forgot to send in my sample choice of the month earlier this month so I didn't know what sample I got until I received my Birchbox in the mailbox. Let's see what I got.

This was my first time I got a deluxe sample size shampoo and conditioner in my Birchbox, I'm so happy with them! I usually get those double packets that make everything messy. I'm starting to save my samples for my summer vacation coming soon so I will be saving these for my upcoming summer travels. The other sample that I was happy to receive in my box is the Bee Venom Mask. I love getting masks in my Birchbox, because I love masks! I will probably be saving this for my trip. As for everything else, I wasn't exactly crazy for the body wash (but will probably still use it) and the Cargo blush, because I don't really wear blush. I probably should have picked my sample choice.

What did you get in your April Birchbox?

Lovely Lavender ♥ Spring Style

This Spring I've been really craving lavender and lilac. I've been purchasing anything pastel purple colored. Unfortunately, most clothing stores don't carry that much pastel purple colored clothing but I found a few pieces hidden in some stores. I bought those two dresses from Charlotte Russe (pictured below). I don't normally shop at Charlotte Russe but I was desperate for anything lilac colored and found two beautiful skater dresses. I also got that lavender pleated skirt from Charlotte Russe but the material makes the skirt stick out more then I thought it would, but it's still cute.

Are you a fan of the color lavender?

April Happy Mail ♥ Monthly Subscription

I was really excited to receive my Happy Mail this month. Because when I saw the unboxing on the A Beautiful Mess blog I was thrilled to see the lovely card designs, colors and other goodies included in April's Happy Mail. Let's hop into it!

Look at all this cuteness! Where should we start?

These are six of the eight cards I received in my Happy Mail. There are so many cute cards in this batch. There are two birthday cards, a get well soon card, a BFF card and two thinking of you cards. Most of the cards this month contain this fun holographic glitter foil which I think is just adorable!

Here are the other two cards and the postcard. There is a red thank you card with a few zebras on it and a cute card with an old fashioned car. There is also this really cute postcard with the saying "If You're A Campfire. I Want S'more".

These cards were my favorite! That ice cream is soooooo adorable! This Happy Mail is my favorite set so far!

I absolutely love this month's color schemes. The print this time was a lot smaller then the previous prints, it's the same size as the cheese print we got a few months ago. We also got another sheet of washi tape! Lastly, there is this rainbow colored day of the week notepad. Sadly, when I got this notepad in my Happy Mail most of the post-it notes have fallen off (and they don't stick).

Day 104: Two new beauty purchases. I haven't bought any new beauty products in a while because I'm trying to purge away most of my beauty collection.

Day 105: I caught this picture of Lucy going downstairs. It's kind of blurry but it was too funny not to post!

Day 106: I finally got my Animal Crossing cards from Club Nintendo! They're smaller then I thought they would be but so cute!

Day 107: Two new tsum tsums to add to my collection!

Day 108: I love mail days! Happy Mail and Birchbox posts coming this week!

Day 109: These are my favorites cards from April's Happy Mail. I love how they used sliver confetti lettering in this month's cards!

My Story ♥ Fitness Friday

Last night I saw this video that Cassey posted. I teared up a bit. So I thought I would share my story on my weight and why I started working out and eating healthy. I'm going to admit that this was emotional for me to dig up from my past. I got choked up a bit and cried a few times. This was a hard blog post for me to type. So let's get started...

Most of my life I have struggled with my weight. They only time I remembered me actually looking decently normal was when I was 7 and lived in outside of Chicago. My older sister and I went to a private school that we had to walk to and back from everyday. We also took gymnastics for a few months, so I was pretty healthy growing up. But when my younger sister was born my parent's decided to move to Georgia, which was completely different to what I was used to in Illinois. We never joined any sports, had to ride the school bus and had to drive to everywhere! That's when my weight started to shift.

I remember the exact moment when I started feeling insecure about my body. It was when I was in third grade and my class was being measured and weighed for whatever reason. While I was being weighed I heard someone talk behind my back and it was this boy with his friend and he started picking on me about my weight. I don't even remember how much the scale said I weighted but that moment will always stick out in my head as the moment that I started caring about my body and how I looked. But this wasn't the only situation where I was picked on because of my weight. I've been made fun on how much I weigh by my own family. Like them calling me name's like "chubby" or "fatty" but in cutesy ways like that made it any better!

One of my dreams growing up was to be a chef. I was obsessed with food! My parents would buy me little kitchen play sets and those 100-piece plastic food sets for $10 (I probably owned 5 of those). I've always been a food junkie, I especially have a major sweet tooth. However, when I started becoming self conscious about how I looked I threw that dream away because I didn't want to be know as a fatty chef who likes food.

Another time that happened a few years back we went to visit our family in California during the summer. My great grandfather was also visiting and when he greeted my sister's and I he told me that I reminded him of someone who was chubby and huge. This truly hurt my feelings because before this I was working out hard everyday and night to get into shape for summer. That night when we got to our hotel I cried my eyes out in the bathroom (silently because I didn't want my family to know that I was crying). Nothing hurts more then when you don't get recognize for the hard work you've been working on.

It only takes one significant moment in your life to change your perspective on how you look. So before you go out and call someone chubby or giving them a "cute fat nickname" remember this could effect them for the rest of their lives. Because even to this day I get emotional when people talk about my weight and take it personally. But whenever I feel like giving up and eating a whole bucket of ice cream I use all of these negative thoughts and push myself to go even further!

Rainy Day ♥ Playlist

April showers bring May flowers! It's been raining here for what seems like forever! I don't even know what the sun looks like anymore. No but really, we have only had about five days of clear blue sky with sunshine this month and we are only halfway through April! I don't mind the rain but when it happens every single day I become semi-depressed. Anyways, I seem to have a playlist for every situation so I thought I would put together a rainy day playlist. This playlist features some of my favorite songs to hear while it's wet and gross outside.

Currently Testing ♥ Upcoming Beauty Reviews

Maybe you  guys noticed that I haven't been reviewing as much beauty products as I used it. Why? Because I'm overwhelmed by the amount of beauty products I need to review! I even have a notebook dedicated just for reviews. I don't wear makeup everyday (I usually just wear it on the weekends) so it's hard to test out products when you only wear makeup on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I thought I would share some of the products that I will be reviewing in the next couple of weeks and what I think about them so far.

I have had the Tony Moly Panda's Dream Good-Bye Dark Eye Corrector for a long time now but I haven't had the time to truly test it. I have a eye cream routine right now that I swear by and haven't really adventured into anything new. However, I have used this cream a few times already and I'm not sure if I like the consistency of it.

I also bought one of the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polishes about a month ago. It's suppose to act like gel nail polish and last longer then regular nail polish. I've worn gel nail polish before and it does last extremely long (about two weeks). The color is beautiful but for some reason I haven't gravitated towards it the past few weeks so I haven't used it as much as I thought I would have. I also have the Miracle Gel Top Coat, let me know if you want me to review the top coat as well!

Etude House recently came out with the Zero Sebum Drying Powder. Usually I don't use oil-control powders because I like the dewy look but I thought I needed a change in my makeup routine so I bought this powder. I've use it a few times but I'm not sure if I like it or not yet. I guess I have to keep testing it!

I saw this eye concealer palette by Hard Candy and had to buy it because I love concealer palettes! I love how you can mix the neutral colored concealers together to get the perfect concealer shade for your skin tone. There is also a yellow, green and purple concealer for situations that need special attention.

Here are some of eye products I'm playing with. Three eyeliners including Etude House Drawing Show Brush liner, NYC Liquid Eyeliner and Etude House's Proof 10 Auto Pencil. I'm also trying to use the Etude House Dear Girl's Cute Eyes Maker, but I always forget that I have it!

Which product(s) do you want me to review first?
