Halloween TAG ♥ Halloween Kpop Party Playlist

Happy Halloween! Last year I shared my Halloween kpop party playlist so I decided I would add more songs to my playlist from the previous playlist and share my favorite kpop Halloween-ish music videos. Enjoy and remember to have fun but be safe tonight!

For Halloween I will be dressing up in my Animal Crossing villager costume and walking my dog (or..um... Isabelle, I made a dog costume for Lucy) and will be making crescent mummy veggie sausage dogs (they taste amazing!), watching Halloween specials on TV and handing out candy to trick-or-treaters (anyone else planning on counting all the Elsa's tonight?)

Halloween Tag

1. What is your favorite Halloween movie?
Honestly I don't have any favorite Halloween movies. I guess anything by Tim Burton.

2. If you were in a horror movie how far would you get?
I think I would actually make it pretty far cause I don't get scared of the "typical" horror movie things and I wouldn't do anything stupid like enter a haunted house in the middle of night.

3. What is your favorite memory of Halloween?
Trick-or-treating with my cousins when I was younger. We use to get together every year but then we grew up.

4. Your best/worst Halloween costume?
My costume this year is actually my new favorite costume! As for the worst probably a devil.

5. How do you get into the Halloween spirit?
Eating candy, making DIY Halloween costumes, and watching Halloween specials.

6. Favorite Halloween decoration?
My dog! She has three costumes this year and she's so adorable!

7. Name one unusual thing that you're afraid of?
The Cheshire cat from the animated Alice and Wonderland movie. I'm not a fan of creepy smiles.

8. Vampires or zombies?
Neither. I don't understand the obsession people have with zombies nowadays.

9. Werewolves or ghosts?
Werewolves, because somewhere inside is a puppy.

10. Creepy dolls or creepy clowns?
Creepy dolls! I grew up with dolls and we even have a porcelain ballerina doll hidden in one of our closets and I can't understand why people get scared of them, they're just dolls.

11. Do you believe in ghosts?
Yes

When Super Smash Bros came out I knew that I wanted to be the Animal Crossing villager for Halloween. Yes, I know that Animal Crossing has been out for a while but I haven't seen the default outfit you get in the beginning of the game in a long time until Super Smash Bros for 3DS came out. I always get the "cute eyes" character so I decided to cosplay her for Halloween and share the aftermath with you guys. Thanks to my lovely older sister for modeling my costume!

Last Minute Halloween Ideas ♥ Links

Can you believe we are only two days away from Halloween! Here are some of my favorite Halloweeny projects I found online. Enjoy!

I really wanted to post a garland crochet pattern for Halloween but unfortunately I didn't have time to make one this year. Thankfully I found this quick and easy Halloween garland, you can whip this together overnight to decorate your room and/or home.

I love this Day of the Dead candy party tray! I think it's a brilliant way to serve your favorite Halloween candy but still be festive.

If you don't know how your going to do your hair for Halloween The Beauty Department put together this guide to help you out.

Leftover candy bars! Just think of the variety of candy to choose from!

Lastly, this cotton candy costume is the cutest thing I have ever seen! The baby doesn't too thrilled but I bet the mom had a blast making the costume. Even if you don't have a baby I bet this would be a great pet costume idea too!

Are you ready for Halloween?

Crochet Pattern ♥ Trick-Or-Treat Bag

Are you guys ready for some last minute DIY patterns well you're in luck because I have two really cute crochet patterns that I will be sharing with you guys this week! Last start off with the first,  it's on how to crochet a  trick-or-treating bag.

If you were like me growing up your probably remember carrying that neon orange plastic pumpkin head all Halloween night awaiting for it to be filled up to the brim with scrumptious candy. Well I decided to make a crochet version that is as equally cute as the classic Halloween pail but just a little softer. By the way this bag may not be the ideal trick-or-treating bag for your typical trick-or-treater's who want a abundant of candy falling out of their bags as they run from house to house searching for even more candy but if your child you plan on just going to a few houses enough to satisfy your sugar cravings then this bag is perfect for the children you.

What you need:
- Orange worsted yarn
- I /5.50 crochet hook
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
- Black felt (optional)
- Lining fabric (optional)
- Glue

Abbreviations + tips
ch - chain
st(s) - stitch(es)
sl st - slip stitch
tr - treble crochet
sc - single crochet

* You know you've completed a round when I place a "." at the end.
* At the end of each row (in the pattern) I let you know how many stitches you should have.
* (work whatever is in here first) before you work [whatever is between these]
* If anything seems off let me know I wrote this pattern as I was crocheting it so there could be a few flaws within the pattern.

Bag base (make 2)
- Ch 6 and sl st to first st to form circle (more you can make a magic circle)
- Ch 3, work 12 tr sts in the circle, sl st 1st st. 12 sts
- Ch 3, work 2 tr sts in each of the sts, sl st 1st st. 24sts
- Ch 3, work 24 tr sts, sl st 1st st. 24 sts
- Ch 3, (work 1 tr st in next st, 2 tr in next st, repeat throughout round) sl st to 1st st. 36 sts
- Ch 3, [work 1 tr in each of the next 6 sts, (1 tr st in next st, 2 tr in next st, repeat x6), repeat x1], sl st to 1st st. 48 sts.
- Ch 3, [(work 2 tr in next st, 1 tr in next st, repeat x2), 18 tr, repeat], sl st to 1st st. 54 sts
- Ch 3, work 2 tr in next st, 1 tr in next st, repeat throughout round, sl st to 1st st. 81 sts
- Ch 3, work 81 tr sts in each of the 81 sts. 81 sts
Cut off leaving a long tail

Straps (make two)
- Ch 50 sts
- Sc staring from the second ch from hook. Work 49 sc, ch 1 and turn. 49 sts
- Work 49 sts. ch 1 and turn (repeat x1)
Cut off leaving a long tail

Next is sewing time! With a yarn needle sew the two circle pieces together but leave a hole big enough for your candy to get in (I left a 22 st gap for my bag). Sew on the two straps near where the candy gap ends. Weave in any loose ends.

You can either crochet small parts for the face or cut out some eyes and a mouth on black felt and glue it on like I did. You can also line the bag inside with fabric if you want to make sure all the candy doesn't poke out through the bag.

Now your bag is ready for candy!

What is your favorite trick-or-treat candy?

Monthly Wishlist ♥ Korean Beauty

Korean Beauty Wishlist
(left to right) Aritaum Full Cover Liquid ConcealerEtude House Minnie Mouse Cushion CaseInnisfree Green Tea Balancing CreamEtude House AC Clinic Intense Pink PowderEtude House My Castle Hand Cream, Etude House Cotton Puff, Etude House Face Conditioning Cream

I've been really into Korean beauty products again. I went through a phase in summer where I didn't show that much interest in Korean makeup and skincare but now I am at it again! I actually placed a huge order on RoseRoseShop a few weeks ago mainly on skincare stuff but when I get my package I will make sure to share what I got. As for now here are a few items I'm been crushing on.

Starting off with Etude House's new hand cream the My Castle Hand Cream, this is by far the cutest packaging I've seen by Etude House! I first saw this in the Kdrama "My Lovely Girl" which starts Krystal from F(x) (who happens to model for Etude House), this immediately caught my eyes and I really want need it! Lately I've been getting a lot of pimples (ugh) so I've been looking for pimple reducing products like the Etude House AC Clinical Pink Powder and the Aritaum Full Cover Liquid Concealer. Another thing I've been looking for a new moisturizer I'm currently debating to get the either the Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Cream or the Etude House Face Conditioning Cream. If any of you have tried either of those products let me know if you like them or not.

Drama Bum Sunday ♥ Discovery of Romance (Spoilers)

(image from Google search)

Today I will finally be reviewing the Korean drama "Discovery of Love". The drama first aired on August 18 and ran until October 7 it's a romantic comedy that consists of 16 episodes. I actually ended up liking this drama more then I thought I would have.

Plot
"Han Yeo Reum's (Jung Yoo Mi) life seems perfect. She is a designer who owns her own successful workshop, she lives with her two best childhood friends, and she has a sweet, successful boyfriend of 3 years, Nam Ha Jin (Sung Joon), who might pop the big question any day. Her life seems to be heading in the right direction, until she suddenly comes face to face with her selfish and snobby, but somehow charming, designer ex-boyfriend of 5 years, Kang Tae Ha (Eric Moon). As Han Yeo Reum begins working closely with Kang Tae Ha on a design project, old feelings begun to re-emerge. Meanwhile, it seems that Nam Ha Jin is facing his own crisis of love when his childhood friend, Ahn Ah Rim, declares her feelings for him. Will the members of this massive love square be able to sort through their complicated, tangled feelings to find true love?" - off of Dramafever

Characters
I actually like the female lead in this drama (which is rare) I think she stayed true to herself throughout the drama, in most dramas I've seen the female lead usually starts off as a strong women but as the show progresses she becomes weaker and weaker. However I didn't like the fact that she kept saying that she wasn't going to see Tae Ha anymore but she would keep on working with him (if you don't want to see or think about someone why would you work with them?) I mean her friend could have taken care of all the work details or something!

As for the men I was on Ha Jin's side since the beginning of the drama. He's smart, good looking, has a deep voice, a dark past, he has the whole package! My only problem with him was that when he found his friend from the orphanage I think he should have told Yeo Reum and not keep anything a secret this is why she accused him of cheating on her! He could have solved everything by telling her sooner!

Now to the character that I think was a sorry waste of time, Tae Ha. I didn't like him at all! He didn't have a background story like the other two main characters (at least not a interesting one). He also clings on to the past way too much! He should have of just moved on it's been over 5 years since his break up with Yeo Reum and you're telling me he wasn't interested in anyone else! Ugh!

Sub stories
Sub stories are the other stories that happen throughout the drama. Like in this drama there were two big ones that I enjoyed. One being Yeo Reum mother dating her childhood friend and the other one with Yeo Reum's freinds falling for each other (my favorite). I usually hate the friends and families in most drama (mainly because they interfere when they really shouldn't) but I actually enjoyed both the friends and family in this drama they made the show entertaining.

Finale
So like most dramas I've watched before I didn't enjoy the last episode of this drama at all! The jerk that I hated got the girl yet again! If you watch a lot of Kdrama you might already know the jerk always gets the girl in the end (why must you do this Korean drama writers!) but I honestly thought Ha Jin would get Yeo Reum in the end!

My Rating
Overall I give "Discovery of Romance" a 4 out of 5. I mostly loved everything about this drama aside from the main story (it could have used a little more flavor) and that ex-boyfriend but everything else was pretty great. I would recommend this drama.

Halloween Idea ♥ Dia De Los Muertos Pinata Cookies

Growing up in a Mexican household, I always wished celebrated Dia De Los Muertos (also known as Day of the Dead). It's a Mexican holiday in which you pay respects to the deceased by bringing them food and other possessions. It happens on October 31 through November 2.

In honor of Dia De Los Muertos and Halloween, me and my sister made these sugar skull pinata cookies. We used the same pinata cookie recipe we used to make the Sailor Moon brooch cookies.   I would've taken more pictures but unfortunately the cookies were all gone before I could snap more.

We followed the directions in the pinata cookie video but we used sugar skull cookie cutters instead to create the skull shape and faces. I decorated most of the cookies by tracing the skull face imprints with various colorful cake frosting (I used a toothpick to control the details better).

Here is what the inside of the cookies look like. You can choose whatever candy to put inside. We used mini M&M's and they worked perfectly!

Do any of you celebrate Dia De Los Muertos?

Fall Spotlight ♥ Plaid

Fall Spotlight: Plaid
(Left to right) Dress: Modcloth, Bows: Forever 21, Bag: Modcloth, Shirt: Modcloth, Scarf: Forever 21, Skirts: Forever 21, Shoes: Charlotte Russe, Shirt via Polyvore

If you have ever gone to a private school or anywhere that requires you to wear a uniform then plaid clothing is no stranger to you. Plaid has become my fall staple I love the academic look of wearing a cute plaid skirt or dress out in public without thinking about anything school related. I happen to really love this skirt from Forever 21 it's a midi plaid skirt which is different from all the other plaid skater skirts that I've seen. If you are not a fan of the schoolgirl look and want something edgier a plaid shirt would be perfect for you! There is so much you can do with a simple plaid shirt you can leave it unbuttoned, layer it, or wrap it around your waist the possibilities are endless! If plaid isn't your style but still want to be trendy this season accessories are your best friends! There are scarfs, shoes, bows, bags, etc.  pick up an affordable item (I recommend anything for Forever 21) and your set for the next couple of weeks until fall is over.

Are you a fan of plaid?

Book Review ♥ Crochet with One Sheepish Girl

Whenever I need to get inspired for my next crochet project I hop on over to One Sheepish Girl, it's a crochet paradise filled with crafty inspiration in every post! Crochet with One Sheepish Girl is Meredith's first crochet book to come out and it's a whimsical wonderland for a crocheter like myself. For today's blogtober post I wanted to share a few of the projects I've made so far.

My favorite pattern from the back has to be the teacup coasters hands down! I've made three already and can't stop making them! The pattern is really fun and simple to make, the second part can be confusing at first though. I think these would make great gifts.

This was the first project I made from the book, it's the latte  plush. I free handed the latte art on top because I couldn't quite grasp the tracing paper concept but I think it came out alright. I would recommend not to stuff the top part of the latte too much because mine looks like it's over flowing!

So for my next OSG project I want to make something a little more complex. I narrowed down my top 3 favorite projects which one should I make next? This cute stripe bow clutch?

This adorable crochet pattern holder?

Or should I crochet this cute camera bag?

Overall I highly recommend the One Sheepish Girl crochet book. It has a bunch of really cute crochet patterns to make that are simple and don't take that much time at all.

What should my next project be?
