Haul ♥ Crochet Books

Hey guys! It's been a while since my last blog post but I'm finally back with a crochet book haul! Now that it's starting to get colder I can finally go back to crocheting! I pick up these two amigurumi books because they looked really cute and have fun patterns to make. I also included a few sneak peek at the books.

When I found out that my favorite crochet blogger was coming out with a crochet book I was so excited but when I heard it was a Hello Kitty crochet book I nearly freaked! I'm a huge Sanrio fan so I HAD to get this book and can't wait to start crocheting some of the Sanrio family!

This book I stumbled on when I was ordering the Hello Kitty Crochet book. After looking through the book sample online I fell in love with the dolls and knew I needed it in my life. As someone who use to sell dolls I would love to learn some new tricks on crocheting dolls.

Do you own either one of these books?

September ♥ Wishlist

September Wishlist

This month the new Cooking Mama 5: Bon Appetit comes out and I can't wait to play it this weekend! I probably own every single Cooking Mama game that's ever been released and while the game itself is pretty much the same it's always fun to see what they add to the newer games. H&M is currently having free shipping on all orders so if you've been eyeing something off their website now is the time to get it! I've been crushing on this two piece pajama set and these bear slippers. As for beauty products, the new EOS lip balm looks really cool because it's coconut milk flavor! Also I've been really interested in the new Drops of Youth Eye Concentrate by The Body Shop and the Veet hair remover cream, which I just bought and can't wait to use.

September Birchbox ♥ Unboxing

It's time for another Birchbox unboxing! I was very happy about this month's box because the box itself was really fun and cute. This month it's Birchbox's birthday so they are celebrating 4 years with these colorful box's (that I really hope make appearance in the future! Style Crush ♥ Mori Girl

You many be asking yourself what is mori girl? Well it is actually a Japanese fashion term used to describe a certain style, "mori" means forest in Japanese so they're forest girls. The style concept of a forest girl means she dresses in natural colors, layers, vintage, and basically keep everything down to earth almost boho chic. There is also even a mori girl lifestyle that involes slipping on tea, knitting, reading books, walking barefoot, sewing, vintage shopping, painting, etc. These laddies are pretty much hippies. To learn more about mori girls check out this post I found online. I think that mori girl fashion fits in perfectly with fall/winter fashion so here is some outfit inspiration brought to you by the mori girl style.

Have you heard of "mori girl" style before?

Craft Corner ♥ My Current Project

So I haven't posted a craft corner post in ages so I felt that it was time to start crafting again! There is something about crafting in Autumn that makes me want to pick up my crochet hooks and just make anything. I have a few projects planned for this season and also I'm thinking about updating my shop (but I'm still not sure). Now on to my craft project, I actually don't want to unveil what I'm working on just yet because I'm not sure what to call it but I thought it would be fun if you guys could guess what I'm making.

Here are some close ups of my project. This so far this is just the base of what I'm making. I'm using a thick pink and cream colored yarn.

Here is the length of my creation. Still can't guess? Well I will update you guys on the process of my secret project along with more pictures next weekend so stay tuned! hehe

What do you think I am making?

My Nail Care Routine ♥ How To Make Your Nails Grow Healthy

Over the summer I got acrylic nails done and last month I finally got them taken off and my nails were completely ruined! So for the whole month of August I was trying to restore my nails and make them look healthy again. I heard that it usually takes 3-4 months for your nails to go back to normal after you get acrylics off but for me it's been a month and my nails are close to looking normal again.  I've been trying this nail care routine for the past month everyday and it work wonders so I wanted to share with you guys the products that I've been using and recommend.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi Usage Dry Oil
The first step of my nail routine is to massage oil onto my nails for around 10 minutes. I hear that extra virgin olive oil is the best to use but any oil will do, I use this multi use oil that I got in my Birchbox. By using oil it really softens the cuticles and nail beds. This step was the best for healing my nails.

Sally Hansen Healthy Cuticles Now!
Nest I apply this cuticle cream to my cuticles and inner part of the nail bed. I massage this until the cream absorbs into my nails.

Sally Hansen Miracle Nail Thickener
After the cuticle cream I brush on the Sally Hansen miracle nail thickener. This is suppose to strengthen your nails and make them feel thicker. I apply one coat and then wait for it to dry before moving onto the final step.

Essie Grow Stronger Nail Strengthener
Last but not least I apply on this Essie nail strengthener. In five days it makes you nails strong and healthy. I tested it out and it did make a big difference! I apply on one coat and it leaves a beautiful light pink wash over your nails. I highly recommend this product if you want stronger nails!

Other tips I have for fixing your nails after acrylics is to avoid painting your nails and keep your nails really short (if not your nails will keep on splitting).
