Manicure Monday: Dripping Paint

Happy Monday everyone! Today I'm introducing a new weekly series that I will be staring. Manicure Monday! You probably heard of this via Instagram or Twitter, right? Well, that's how I got the idea for this series! Every week I will be sharing what I'm currently wearing on my nails whether it's a fun artsy design or a new beautiful nail polish color. So now you can look forward to some more nail polish related posts!

For my first Mani Monday post I am sharing the nails I did myself for my birthday yesterday. Enjoy!
I wanted a simple yet cute and colorful look that would go great for my birthday so I did this dripping design. I was going for a ice cream dripping look but it looks way more like paint dripping. Either way I love this look!

What I Did On My 20th Birthday

Happy Birthday to me! By the time I post this it will no longer be my birthday (in the east coast) but I thought I would share what I did on my birthday and a birthday haul. If you find this post in any case braggy then I am sorry go check out one of my other hundreds of blog post. However, if you are curious to what I got on my bday then keep reading.

In the morning my family surprised me with breakfast and gifts! I'm pretty happy with all my gifts. A girl can never have enough Hello Kitty things, right? I also got a nutribullet! I can't wait to start making more smoothies!

Then I went to the mall to pick up my free Sephora insiders birthday gift and they also had some of their nail polishes on sale so I got myself a bottle. Afterwards we went to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner and then after I got my free Starbucks drink. I love free things on my birthday!

Instead of getting cheesecake we decided to pick up a cake at the store. This is a cake batter ice cream cake, it's so yummy! Overall, I had a wonderful birthday! I'm kind of bummed that I'm 20 though but I have a feeling that I will be wishing I'm 20 in a few years! Oh the beauty of getting older. hehe

I hope you all had a beautiful weekend!

My Summer Essentials

I hope you guys are all having a wonderful summer! In honor of summer I will be sharing my beauty essentials for the summer with you all. These products are all must haves for me and I cannot live without them or I will melt, stink, and not look good at all! Enjoy!

Stila Bronzing Powder: I don't normally use bronzers that much but one time you can catch me using them is during the summer. You can create a beautiful summer glow using a bronzing powder.

Supergoop! Sunscreen Day Cream: Sunscreen is absolutely important to use everyday! My favorite brand is Doctor T's Supergoop! Their products are non greasy, fragrance free, and silky smooth. I highly recommend their products!

Supergoop! City Sunscreen Serum: If you have any sunburn spots this serum will help reduce any reddish burnt areas.

Revlon Lash Potion in Waterproof: Waterproof mascaras are important to wear during summer because you don't want your mascara to get washed away by sweat or water.

Maybelline Baby Lips Quenched with SPF: Protecting your lips is just as important as protecting your skin from the sun. I like to keep two SPF lip products with me during summer. This one comes out easily so I can put some on whenever my lips feel dry.

Supergoop! Acai Fusion Lip Balm with SPF 30: This other lip balm is a squeezable but works just as good as the Baby Lips one.

Oil-Absorbing Sheets: An absolute must! These sheets will absorb any oily spots you get during the day.

LUSH Eau Roma Toner Water: This is a spray toner that can refresh your face on those hot summer days. I like to take this with me everywhere I go just in case I need a light mist of water.

Etude House 8 in 1 CC Cream: I wear BB creams on a daily basis but for summer I decided to start using CC creams. This is my first one and it's pretty good. If you don't know what a CC cream is it's basically a very light coverage BB cream. If you would like a post on CC creams let me know!

China Glaze Neon and On and On Nail Polish: I love using bright bold nail polishes during summer. This one is my new favorite summer polish, it's a bright neon pinkish coral color that screams fun! Check out my full post on summer nail polishes here.

Got2B Beach Trippin' Waving Spray: Wavy beach hair seems to be the most popular hair style during summertime. Using a spray with sea salt can help you  achieve those mermaid waves with just a few sprays.

Secret Clinical Strength Waterproof: This is my new favorite deodorant because it works incredible! This stuff won't make your armpits sweat at all and makes them smell fresh instead! I high recommend this product!

What are your summer beauty essentials?

Summer Nail Colors

You guys know how much I love painting my nails but during summer picking up the right nail polish color is crucial (for me at least)! So today I will be sharing my favorite nail colors for the summer time.

The Cooler Colors
Essie Play Date: Play date by Essie is a great bright purple color that will give your nails a great pop of color!

Color Club Blue-Ming: Probably my favorite turquoise nail polish I own! I thank Birchbox for introducing me to Color Club I've found so many wonderful colors by them!

Color Club London Calling: Another mini that I got in my Birchbox. This is a neon pastel color that looks fabulous on!

China Glaze Aquadelic: This is second favorite blue color. It's vivid, fun, and looks amazing on your toes!

The Warmer Colors
Zoya Kate: Red is always a great go to color to wear during summer. This red nail polish has a jelly consistency that makes application easy and smooth.

China Glaze Neon and On and On: Neon and On and On is my personal favorite nail color for this year (I'm wearing it right now) it's a bright fun neon that makes you appear tan.

Zoya Arizona: I use to think orange nail polish looked really weird but this one by Zoya is the best orange I've come across that doesn't make you look strange.

And then there's...
Revlon Spirit: I think the best color to wear on your nails during the summer is white. Not only does it catch your attention but it also makes you appear tanner (if you are a pale girl like myself then you know how important having some color on your skin during summer is). My favorite is Spirit by Revlon.

What's your favorite summer nail polish?

What's In My Summer Bag

I'm finally back from my trip to Florida! I had a wonderful time and am so happy to be back home on my comfy bed! Today I will share with you a "what's in my bag" post but summer themed! These are the things I keep in my bag when I was in Florida. Yes, its the same bag I used in my previous what's in my bag post but I have some different items in this bag. Enjoy and do mind the tacky hotel bedding background.

Kitty in Wonderland card wallet and sunglasses from Forever 21.

Supergoop! AcaiFusion lip Balm with SPF 30, Maybelline Baby Lips Quenched with Sunscreen SPF 20, Maybelline Baby Lips in Melon Mania, Soap and Glory Hand Food, and ear buds.

Coin purse and oil-absorbing sheets and iphone (used to take these pictures).

Do you carry any different items in your bag during summer?

Road Trip Snacks

Today's post is a fun one! I will be sharing the snacks I took on my road trip with me. Of course we stop by to get lunch but these are the snacks that we will be eating during our trip to Florida. I always try to get the healthier treats instead of getting just greasy chips and a soda (which I don't eat either). Take a look below and let me know which snacks you like to eat on long trips.

Snapea Crisps Lightly Salted: One of my favorite crisps! I would highly recommend these if you have not tried them out! You will seriously get addicted to these!

Buddy Fruits Squeezable Pouches: I think these are suppose for babies but I still grab a few each time I go to the grocery store. They are blended fruit in a easy travel friendly pouch. I especially love the ones with coconut milk!

CLIF Energy Bars in White Chocolate Macadamia and Coconut Chocolate Chip: Energy bars are a must have for me when I'm traveling. Since I am going to be in the car the majority of the trip these bars help me stay up instead of sleeping through the whole trip. These are my first CLIF bars but I heard they're really delicious!

Naked Pure Coconut Water: I'm still pretty new to coconut water but I'm going to force myself to like it because of the nutritional benefits!

Planters Cashews: I love cashews so of course I have to get myself a container of them!

Lindt Chocolate Sticks in  Cookies and Cream and Strawberry Cheesecake: Probably the most unhealthiest thing in my snack bag are these chocolate sticks by Lindt. I saw these at Target and me and my sisters all got a different flavor. I choose the strawberry cheesecake and my younger sister choose the cookies and cream one but she promised me she would share some of hers with me.

What do you guys normally eat on road trips?

Pre-Vacation Haul

I am currently typing this on Tuesday night but you guise will probably be seeing this on Thursday (that is if this whole schedules timer thing works). Anyways, I have another haul for you today of a few things I picked up for my trip. Enjoy!

Skintimate Moisturizing Shave Gel in Strawberry Tangerine Twist: Not something I needed for my trip but I still needed it.

Got2B Beach Trippin' Wave Spray: A bunch of companies bring out sea salt sprays during this time of the year to create the perfect "mermaid waves". I decided to pick up this one by GotB2 my younger sister also got one but by Not Your Mothers. I will be trying out both and will let you guys know which one I ended up liking more.

Mini St. Ives Blemish Control Green Tea Scrub: I love using travel size products when I'm traveling so I decided to get my current favorite scrub in a smaller size for this trip.

Mini Cetaphil Cleanser: Another mini! Cetaphil was the first cleanser I used when I first started washing my face. It' great for all skin types!

Supergoop! City and Sand Sunscreen Tote: This is basically all you need for summer! This kit comes with a face and body sunscreen, serum, and lip balm! I will be using these all summer long!

Revlon Lash Potion Mascara in Waterproof: I'm not a fan of waterproof mascaras but they come in handy during the summer.
