Zoya Blogger Collection

A few months ago Zoya and Birchbox partnered up to create a exclusive limited edition trio designed by various bloggers. The bloggers each created a mood board of what color their nail polish would be. The top mood boards were put up on Birchbox's facebook page and fans got to vote for the top three favorite. So here are the top three nail polishes that were created, Kate by The Small Things, Belle by Capitol Hill Style, and Coraline by Eleventh Gorgeous.

Left to right, Coraline, Kate, and Belle

Zoya nail polish in Kate, a coralish red creme color designed by The Small Things. This color would look amazing on your toes!

Zoya nail polish in Coraline, a tangerine orange yellow creme designed by the ladies of Eleventh Gorgeous.

Zoya nail polish in Belle, a sheer light grapefruit pink with red shimmers in it, inspired by the Capitol Hill Style mood board. I am currently wearing this on my fingers!

Zoya's Belle over Kate. I just love this combination because the red sparkles make the red in Kate pop out!

Zoya's Belle over Coraline. This color reminds me of a peach.

Overall I love this trio because the colors are perfect for Summer! The formula of these polishes are also really nice they slide on like jelly! I would recommend this set if you are in need of some nail polish colors for the Summer.

Mini Collective Beauty Haul

Today I wanted to share a few things that I've bought this past month. I really needed a new moisturizer and leave-in-conditioner so I just bought some random ones but I will be making a review on those to let you know how those products performed. Also I picked up two products that I've been meaning to get.

Finally got the Zoya Blogger nail polish trio (Swatches coming soon!). I've been wanting these nail polishes for a while so I'm so glad I got this set. The colors are gorgeous and perfect for Summer!

BENTA BERRY G-1 moisturizing face cream

MAC Sheen Supreme lipstick in sheer mandarin

I finally got the Revlon lip butter in strawberry shortcake! So excited to try this on!

I needed a leave-in-conditioner and wanted to try something new so I picked up this smooth moves frizz control hair cream by Not Your Mother's hair products. I'm not sure if its a leave-in-conditioner or just a normal hair cream either way the bottle is cute!

Lastly I picked up another one of the Insta-dri top coat by Sally Hansen. BEST TOP COAT EVER nuff said.

Let me know if you would like to see a review on any of these items.

My First Knitting Book

A couple of weeks ago I won a copy of Stitch London by Lauren O'Farrell on Cut Out + Keep and it finally came in the mail the other day. Stitch London features 20 London inspired knitting patterns from London landmarks to cute mug huggers to cuddle your cup of tea. The book even comes with a free pigeon knitting kit to get you started, awesome!

The kit includes blue and white worsted weight yarn, a set of four double pointed needle (not shown) a pink pipecleaner, and black beads as the eyes.

I'm currently working on this bee cup cozy (I will upload pictures when I am finished!).

I love the fact that the book offers both a mix of toys and accessories (I usually only find a book that does one or the other). Now I can practice my knitting alot more as I create my own miniature sized London! I also forgot to mention that this is my first ever knitting book but I am currently looking for cute knitting books like this to build up my collection, any recommendations?

The R2D2 Coffee Cozy

My older sister is a big Star Wars fan so I decided to make her this R2D2 coffee cozy as a birthday present (Her birthday was yesterday!).

I love the way it turned out and so did my sister. The cozy is suppose to fit a Starbucks tall cup size but we found that it also fits those plastic drink cups with the straws, which is what she uses it for.

I got the pattern here, it's from Twinkie Chan's blog.

May 2012 Birchbox

Guess what I found in my mail box last Friday? Yes, it was my pink squared beauty box filled with beauty goodies! I was really surprised at how fast they shipped it this time I didn't even expect it! This month's box is a special one because they collaborated with Gossip Girl to bring you the latest beauty products inspired by the hit television series.

If you do not know what Birchbox is it's a $10 monthly subscription box with 4 to 5 deluxe beauty samples.

 Inside look at my box

 List of products

Miracle Skin Transformer Body SPF 20 in Glow Full-size. $34
"Don't settle for anything but flawless skin - all over your body. This tinted treatment erases blemishes and scars on arms, legs, and decollete." I tested this out on my hand when I first got it and it's amazing! It's kind of like a tinted moisturizer for your body and leaves your skin absolutely flawless with a sunkissed glow.

SHU UEMURA Cleansing Oil Shampoo Full-size, $55
"We're smitten with this ultra chic yuzu-scented cleanser: the oil transforms into a purifying foam that leaves hair clean and bouncy." Like I've said before I don't really like receiving hair samples in my Birchbox because I never end up using them. I don't like the fact that this is a oil shampoo because I already have oily hair and using a oily shampoo to wash my hair doesn't sound like the best thing to use but whatever I'll use it and tell you guys if it does anything useful.

Dior Miss Dior Eau de Pafum Full-size, $62-$102
"Chic and feminine, this longtime favorite is a gorgeous bouquet of floral notes deepened by a touch of patchouli." This is by far my favorite scent I have ever smelled. It gives off a nice classy and sophisticated scent that stays on throughout the day. I'm asking this for my birthday!

 Dior Diorshow Extase Full-size, $28.50
"This dramatic mascara adds tons of volume and length. Plus, its unique ceramide complex helps fortify your lashes." Two Dior products in one box! I used this yesterday when I went out and I didn't really noticed anything too special I guess I need to play with it some more.

BIRCHBOX EXTRA: Notecards Set of 12, $10
"Text messages are no match for handwritten notes on fun, modern stationary." Cute yet classic. I used this already to write down a sweet message for my mother and gave it to her yesterday for Mother's day.

This was an ok box but not my favorite I was kind of expecting way more from this box since it's a Gossip Girl box but whatever for the most part I liked everything. I will try out all of these samples and get back to you guys if I find something I really like.

This box also marks my one year with Birchbox so I am going to making a special Birchbox post letting you know if it's worth $10 a month so look forward to that within the next week or so.

What did you get in your May 2012 Birchbox?

April Favorites

Today I am back with another monthly favorites. YAY! To be honest I didn't use that many products in April (I pretty much just used my favorite products from previous months) so I don't have that much to show you guys but what I do have to show you guys is pretty amazing!

 Overview look

Befine Lip Serum: I just this back in my October Birchbox but never really used it until I ran out of chapstick and need it badly! So I decided to just use this because well I had nothing else to use. I'm so glad I used this lip serum because it's awesome at healing chapped lips and making you lips look juicy!

LUSH Ocean Salt: I've been using LUSH's ocean salt as both a face and body scrub lately and let me tell this stuff is AMAZING! I was spectacle at first because I saw some reviews online that said this scrub was too rough for some people and I have really sensitive body skin (my face is normal) but when I used this on my skin it wasn't abrasive at all! This exfoliant leaves my skin feeling nice, smooth and flake free plus I love the smell (It reminds me of the ocean). NEED to get the bigger tub!

Hello Kitty Bow Glasses: Got these Hello Kitty glasses off of eBay for a couple of dollars. SO CUTE! I usually wear these when I'm studying to feel smart, hehe.

Handmade Panda Case: Had the most incredible idea to start making custom crochet iPhone/iTouch cases. This was my first and I am so pleased on how it turned out! I can't wait to make more and start selling them in my shop.

The Hunger Games: Finally read "The Hunger Games" and oh my one of the BEST books I have ever read! This book kept me drawn in the entire time. I can't wait to get the other two books and see the movie!

I hope you enjoyed my favorites! Sorry for the lack of posts the last few days I've been kind of busy I was actually suppose to post this post yesterday but the day ended earlier so I decided to just post this up today along with my April playlist, which will be up later today. See you later!
